The Mardi Gras season starts on January 6, the feast of the Epiphany, until it culminates on Mardi Gras Day, also known as Fat Tuesday or Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday. ***************************************** If you are throwing a party we have put together some ideas for you! Decorating: Decorate in green, gold and purple, the traditional colors of the holiday. Place mardi gras beads in all colors around your party area, and have plenty on hand for your guests to wear. Place doubloons which are aluminum coin-like objects bearing the insignia of the float krewes , around your table, and make sure to invite your guests to bring some home! You can use a large mask and decorate with beads and doubloons to use as your centerpiece. ***************************************** More Ideas!
