Candles also make wonderful gifts. Candles come in many shapes, colors and scents, so you can easily find what you are looking for most anyone. You can also make your own and use many different containers for decoration. Here are a few ideas to get you started: Champagne glasses, margarita glasses, canning jars, decorative bowls, hurricane lamps, jelly jars, candy dishes. Just use your immagination, and you can come up with some great ideas yourself! __________________ If you need Christmas Table decorations, and you are short on time, try this one, it can normally be done in less than ten minutes! Gather together a short pillar candle, a footed ornamental dish, 20 or more round glass ornaments in your favorite colors, a round or square mirror about 12 inches wide.(optional) 1. Place your candle in the center of your dish. 2. Carefully stack the oranments around the candle base. Be sure to keep them away from the candle wick. 3. To make your centerpiece really shine, place it on top of the mirror. If you??re going to use your arrangement on a mantel or shelf, prop the mirror up behind it and watch it glow. __________________ To make candy cane Christmas cookies, take your favorite recipe for rolled cookies. (Don't use drop cookies because the batter will be too sticky.) Mix up a batch and divide it into two equal parts. Add red food coloring to one half. Roll equal amounts of the plain and colored dough into 8 inch strips. Braid and fashion into a candy cane shape. Bake as instructed. __________________ Santa Claus Facts Ever wonder what Santa Claus is called in other countries? In England, he??s Father Christmas, with a slightly longer beard and a longer coat.
