This placement increases the likelihood that consumers will see the disclosure and relate it to the relevant claim. Under some conditions, however, a disclosure accessible by a hyperlink may be sufficiently proximate to the relevant claim. Hyperlinked disclosures may be particularly useful if the disclosure is lengthy or if it needs to be repeated (because of multiple triggers, for example). The key considerations for effective hyperlinks are: - the labeling or description of the hyperlink - the consistency in the use of hyperlink styles - its placement and prominence on the Web page - the handling of the disclosure on the click-through page ...
