Every Day with Rachael Ray has finally landed a new publisher for the magazine, filling a post that's been vacant since Chris Guilfoyle jumped to Cond? Nast-owned Women's Wear Daily. The new publisher is Anne Balaban, who was raided from Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, where she had been publisher of that company's Everyday Food title. MORE ONLINE

New York magazine agreed Tuesday to stop accepting sex ads after the local chapter of the National Organization for Women threatened protests outside the offices of the popular weekly publication. The women's rights group had accused New York of being a "marketing arm of the organized crime world of prostitution and human trafficking" because of classified ads at the back of the publication with such tag lines as "Asians Gone Wild" and "Asian Dreamgirls." Sonia Ossorio, president of the local NOW chapter, said she was "delighted" at the magazine's decision. MORE ONLINE

Access Intelligence said Tuesday that it will fold 18-year-old industry publication Cable World in December. The magazine, whose previous owners include Paul Kagan Associates and Primedia, was founded in 1989. Access Intelligence, then known as Phillips Business Information, acquired Cable World in 2003 from Primedia. That year, it converted the magazine, which was originally a weekly publication, into a biweekly. MORE ONLINE
