********* The Brad/Jen split may not be in the headlines this week, but the spirit of celebrity canoodling is ?? and how. We've The Donald's nuptials, spreads on celebrity weddings, love stories, and romance's rebirth to keep us occupied ?? cozy reading for the coldest days of the year. Donald Trump's new bride Melania Knauss is an undisputed bombshell, but we think her wedding dress is a downright bomb, as pictured on the cover of the February issue of Vogue. Sure, it lives up to The Donald's reputation for over-the-top glitz, but it looks right tacky to our eye. The preview of last Saturday night's nuptials reads a bit sugary, as well. InStyle adds its own spin to the subject with a 55-page spread of celebrity weddings and love stories of the year. It's not enough that these people are rich, successful and beautiful ?? they have to be in love, too! The mag offers its take on spring fashions, with alternating tribal and feminine looks. As for the cover of Nicole Kidman, isn't she a bit overexposed at this point? MORE ONLINE

Black, the president of Hearst Magazines, the publisher of British Cosmopolitan, promised to crush the upstart magazine in Britain and elsewhere like "a little armadillo in the road." It was a remark that stuck with Jonathan Newhouse, who is chairman of the international division of Cond?© Nast Publications, the American company that produces high-end magazines like Vogue, Architectural Digest and Vanity Fair.
