Prom Passion Time

http://www.nypost.com/php/pfriendly/pfriendly.php?url=/business/39257.htm

Both events are all about finding the right dress, and Seventeen has them ??” for under $100. The mag is all about "how to get that look" ??” be it Prom night or an afternoon stroll ??” with tons of pages devoted to scoring the right clothes and cosmetics. When it's not scouring the local mall, Seventeen somehow finds the time to interview the Hilton sisters (Paris and Nicky) in a piece that professes to clear up all those rumors. It doesn't. Paris claims to be smart, but sounds as stupid as ever talking about fast cars and having babies in a few years.

Like its much older sibling, Teen People is obsessed with drama queens like Ashlee Simpson, Lindsey Lohan and the Olsen twins. The big difference is that Teen People appears to exist solely to shoot down those rumors of tardiness on the movie set, dressing-room temper tantrums and out-of-control partying ??” rather than reveling in the fun muck these stars make of their lives. The mag seems to derive a lot more pleasure from chronicling the miserable and frustrating lives of average teens in "Shocking Tue Stories."

A few weeks ago, we broke the news that Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the gay couple behind red-hot fashion label Proenza Schouler, had split up romantically after five years together, potentially endangering their creative collaboration. Now we're told a Vogue staffer played a pivotal role in the breakup.

It seems the Vogue man and his male model boyfriend became close with McCollough and Hernandez. McCullough and the Vogue staffer's boyfriend had an affair, causing major drama. Not to be outdone, Hernandez and the Vogue employee spent time together as well.
