Martha Stewart Living Has New Publisher

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia today named a new publisher for its flagship magazine, Martha Stewart Living.

"Sally Preston, who was vice president and publisher of Rodale's Organic Style, becomes a senior vice president at MSLO. She replaces Suzanne Sobel, a longtime MSLO veteran who resigned suddenly March 1, mere days before company founder Martha Stewart was released from federal prison.

Prior to her stint at Organic Style, Ms. Preston was associate publisher at the Hearst Magazines/Harpo Production co-venture O, The Oprah Magazine and Meredith Corp.'s Better Homes and Gardens.

Two more magazines will be trying to carve out a slice of the celebrity market in mid-April.

Inside TV, which is being spawned from TV Guide, just tapped its first publisher, Christine Petrillo, a former Glamour magazine executive, and named Debra Birnbaum to be executive editor. Its first issue hits on April 21..

Two days later, American Media will begin a five-week test of Celebrity Living Weekly, which is being supervised by Star magazine Creative Director Kelli Delaney.
