CHAT WITH DANNY GALLAGHER
www.dannygallagher.net Danny Gallagher has been a professional writer, humorist, reporter and all around nice guy since 1999 when he became a regular contributor to Uproar.com's humor e-zine "The Center for the Easily Amused" founded by internet legend Cathie Walker, where he wrote everything from funny polls to original "Mad Libs" style stories and parodies and a weekly column about the world's worst websites called "Dear God, Noooo!" His connections there led to jobs as a game show writer for Uproar.com's online versions of "To Tell the Truth," "Match Game" and "Family Feud," and a "Site of the Day" feature writer for Playboy's Rouze.com.
Since then, he's written humor and features for everything from fish wraps to blogs. He's a regular contributor to ArrivistePress.com where he's interviewed such notable figures as author Marty Beckerman, Texas Governor candidate Kinky Friedman, comic musician "Weird Al" Yankovic and documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, star and director of the Oscar nominated film "Super Size Me." He's the lead blogger for three blogs on "The Dumb Network" including Dumbcriminals.com, News.dumblaws.com and Dumb-lawsuits.com. He's a writer for the Steve Levy Show filmed in Chicago. He's written several humor columns and essays that have appeared in Arrivistepress.com, Caffimage.com. and the Backstory section
of "The Christian Science Monitor," and several humor pieces for the religious satire magazine, "The Wittenburg Door." He's also worked as a comedy ghostwriter for several authors and stand-up comedians. These days, he writes two weekly online columns: a general humor column called "Insert a Funny Column Here" and "Movies that Suck," a glorious exploration of life, love and the lack thereof at a theater near you. To subscribe to these columns, send a blank email to dannyboythezombie@gmail.com. His IFCH essay "To the class of 2006, wear a helmet" appeared in the Christian Science Monitor as a piece titled "Graduated
wisdom" and his MTS essays have appeared at Arrivistepress.com and in The Union's "Prospector" magazine. Another MTS essay, "'Surviving Christmas' OR 'Spreading Some Christmas Jeers'" was turned into a theater monologue for the Shadowbox Theatre production company in Columbus, Ohio where they have also done similar monologues based on the works of Michael J. Nelson, Charles Bukowski and Dave Barry. He's not saying he's as good of a writer as Nelson, Bukowski or Barry, but you've got to admit. It's a hell of a coincidence. Think about it. He can be found on the web at www.dannygallagher.net. When no one is looking, he can be found on the web at
