Look what you've been missing!

The weekly chats at The Writer's Chatroom are wonderful!  Each night I attend a chat, I learn something new.  The support and encouragement during the "general chats" keeps me motivated and excited about writing. The weekly "guest" chats are informative, educational and fun!  I leave each chat saying  "I can do it, I know I can.

Prompt Chat with Christine Senter

http://www.thepromptwriter.com

Christine wrote her first story in the fourth grade. She wrote hundreds of poems and short stories during her high school years. In 1986 she began writing her first full-length novel titled "In the Heart of Jackson." She had her first poem published by a Texas publisher of poetry chapbooks in 1993.

After receiving her first computer in 1996, she sought out every writing website she could find until she found Suite 101 and Shery Ma Belle Arrieta-Russ. Christine took Shery's Beginner Writer's course and eventually ended up writing a column at Shery's website, The E-Writer's Place, titled "The Write Sites," as well as having four articles published there.

In March of 2002 she had to set her writing career aside to join the workforce, but still continued writing short stories and articles. She had two stories published at Mocha Memoirs and an article published at This Christian Life

In December 2003, she created a weekly newsletter offering five categories of writing prompts, as well as writing articles and websites. Due to an over-stressed schedule, in July of 2004, the newsletter was revamped.

In November 2004, she was finally able to buy the name "The Prompt Writer" and was able to set up her own writer's resource site. http://www.thepromptwriter.com . A month later she was able to quit her job and return to writing full time.

Currently she is working on a series of e-books based on her newsletter. The first of these books is titled "Written Promptly Everyday" and contains seven different categories of fifty-two prompts each.

The second will be titled "Promptly Seasoned" and will contain ten writing prompts for each month of the year, based on the world holidays of each month.
