7TH MAY 2006 The war continues! I had the clever idea (or so I thought) of
moving Poppy s litter tray from public view. Well my mums view and any
prospective beau that may enter my lair. (but that s another story) So I in my
wisdom, decided to slowly over time move the tray across the carpet to a safe
covered area. After two days I got sick of the mess and moved it back! They
tell you in the books to try this method but tend to forget to tell you exactly
how stubborn a rabbit can be. Any offers of help will be gratefully excepted.
Also the little minx is still malting. There is a corner of my living room,
near her tray, which looks like that scene from Great Expectations where the
old lady is sitting at the dining table surrounded by cobwebs and dust etc.
Well rabbit fur is so fine it can either stay in little clumps of mist or
spread itself over an area like a sea of webs. I have cleaned it up now so
Poppy has started malting again! You go to stroke her and your hand comes up
like it belongs to a werewolf at full moon! Also the flying fur is like a
you're being engulfed by a cloud. You can't tell though that they are malting
by just looking, you have to actually do the the stroking and of course by then
it's to late. The only things you can do really are to either; 1. Wear one of
those face masks that they wear in Asia for protecting against bird flu. 2.
Don't go near him/her until it stops. 3. Just to remember not to breath too
deeply and to wear a similar colour to the fur or you'll look like a blood
relation by the end of the day!
