3. W32/Mimail.s@MM is a Medium Risk mass-mailing worm that tries to
steal credit card information by displaying a fake Microsoft Windows
license expiration message. Stolen credit numbers are sent to addresses
within the domains @mail15.com and @ziplip.com.

W32/Mimail.s@MM also forwards itself to contacts it steals
from the infected machine.

Caution: Watch out for emails with "here is the file you asked for" in the
subject line or body. They may contain an attachment with the
W32/Mimail.s@MM worm.

What to look for...

From: An infected email can come from people you know.

Subject: here is the file you asked for

Body: Hi! Here is the file you asked for!

Attachment: example--document.txt.scr

The number of consumers using the Internet has grown into the
millions, and the con artists have multiplied as well, launching
a number of email scams to reach potential victims.

Losses from Internet fraud are huge. The National Fraud
Information Center reports that in 2001 consumers lost $4,371,
724 overall to fraud over the Internet, up from $3,387,530 in
2000. Average losses per individual grew from $427 to $636.

A little information and some common sense tips can help you
protect yourself against popular e-mail scams aimed at stealing
your money.

Chain E-mails

Pyramid e-mail chain letters promise that you can make thousands
of dollars in a very short time if you will send $5.00 to the
four or five names at the top of the list, add your name to the
bottom of the list, delete the top name and send it out as they
instruct. Many letters even say that such chain e-mail is legal
and has been approved by the FTC. Wrong!! Delete those e-mails.
Sending money is just throwing it away and informs the sender
that you are a gullible target. Read more about how these work
and how to help stop them, at the FTC's chain e-mail web site.

Online auctions

More people lose money on Internet auctions than all other scams
combined. Although such auctions are more often marketed by web
site than e-mail, plenty of bogus firms are out there pitching
offers at e-mail addresses. The experts' advice: Stick to the
well-known auction sites if you want to play the auctions.
However, remember even the most reputable sites with the best
track records can't really control the individuals offering the
merchandise.

Work at home and earn thousands. Envelope-stuffing schemes and
assembling craft items are two types of this scam. You send in
your "start-up" fee-which can be hundreds of dollars-and then
learn that the folks making the pitch have no real work to offer
or real referrals for such work. For your fee they tell you how
to run the same work-at-home scam on other people. If you
actually get some craft work to assemble, they usually claim
your work is not up to their "quality standards." That small
print in the agreement you signed means they don't have to pay
you.

Credit repair

Pay these companies a nice fee and they promise to fix your bad
credit. The problem? No one can "fix" your credit record for you.
Only you can repair your credit by making a deliberate plan to
repay debt. If you need help, talk to your credit union about
legitimate credit counseling. Certainly don't fall for illegal
schemes that tell you to lie or make up information on new
credit applications. If you do, only you (not the con artist)
will be held accountable.

1. Write down what you currently believe about something in your life
or work that is stopping you. This might be a problem or situation that
keeps coming up or zapping your energy. It could be something you are
thinking about a lot or that you think you ???should??? handle in some specific
way. Some clients say this belief feels paralyzing and stops them cold,
or they worry a lot about what others will think of them. I find myself
saying a lot of ???yes, buts??? when I notice my beliefs.

2. Now, write down what you believe about the problem. Surface up
anything that is stopping or blocking you. Notice if the beliefs are true.
Who told you or taught you this? A parent? A teacher? Is this, for sure,
true? Has this belief served you? What would you choice to believe?

3. List the belief you want to bust.

4. How does this belief enhance your life experience? Is it helping you
in your thinking? Does it serve you? Does it make you feel good? Does
it move you forward? What might happen if you let got of this? How
would you feel?

5. Now, think of a new belief to replace the one you are busting.
Everyday focus on this belief for the next 30 days.
Notice at the end of 30 days how your belief has shifted!

The Start Menu was created to make it easy to get to programs when
your screen is filled with, well, a program! So how do you get new icons
onto the Start Menu? Here's one way to do it. The other, shorter method,
is to "drag and drop the icon of choice on the start menu." But let's go
through the traditional step by step method...

(Note: unless stated otherwise, all clicks are assumed to be left mouse
button clicks.)

1. Right click a blank portion of the Taskbar at the bottom of your screen.

2. Click on 'Properties'.

3. Click on the 'Start Menu Programs' tab.

4. Click the 'Add...' button.

5. Click the 'Browse' button that appears and locate the program or file
you want on the Start Menu.

6. In the Browse window, there's a box named 'Files of type'. This can be
'Programs' or 'All Files'. If you set it to 'All Files' you can put anything
on
the Start Menu.

7. Click OK to pop the path to the file into the Command line.

8. Click Next> to get to the 'Select Program Folder' box.

9. Select the folder you want to place the file in by clicking it once.

10. Click Next> and select a name for the shortcut. Either leave the name
that's there by default, or create a new name.

11. Click the 'Finish' button, then click OK. You're done.

Now go to the Start Menu by clicking the Start button. You'll see the
new program listed. Place files or programs on the Start Menu that you
want to access at any time. This is very handy if your desktop is covered
up with open windows.
