Mexican Coffee

This is a wonderful drink or dessert. And you wouldn't be the first
person to spike it with a little Kahlua.

Ingredients
---------------------------------------------------------------------
1 quart whole milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup instant cocoa mix
8 cups of strong gourmet coffee whipped cream

Direction
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Combine first three ingredients in a Dutch oven, and cook
over medium heat until thoroughly heated.
Do not allow to boil. Stir in instant cocoa mix.
Add coffee Serve with a dollop of whipped cream and,
if desired, garnish with cinnamon sticks.
Makes 3 quarts.

It??™s the Holiday Season --A new year is just around the corner!
I??™ll bet you??™re already thinking about how you??™d like next year
to be a little different than the last, right?

But instead of thinking of performance, and efficiency, and
control, I??™d like you to take this opportunity to think about how
many things in your daily life that you do ???just for the joy of it????

What I??™m talking about here is value-based happiness (as opposed
to temporary happiness).

Value-based happiness refers to the general feeling of well being
that you experience when you are doing what you perceive to be
meaningful --when it??™s something that??™s important to you.

When you love what you do, you naturally become more efficient.
When you do things for the Joy of It, you??™ll rise above problems,
and move easier through life.

Value Based happiness is a by product from living a life Focused
on the Joy. It is the by product of doing things not for what you
get in return, not because you ???should??? or ???have-to???, but because
you want to, because they are a part of your highest goals, and
what you value.

Value based happiness comes from looking at things with your
heart, not just your eyes.

You create value based happiness by Focusing on the Joy of life,
instead of constantly looking for the next new thing that might
make you feel better about yourself, about your life.

So how do you Focus on the Joy?

Throw out your ideas about control, effectiveness, and goals.
(Yes, they are important, but let??™s just try something different, ok?)

Instead ---

Focus On Learning:
Instead of making a goal to achieve more in your job, decide
instead to read and learn how to do one new thing each week.

Focus on Time:
Schedule your time to include what??™s important to you, like
reading time, or exercise time, or family time, or learning time.

Focus on the Why:
Instead of just forcing yourself to mop the kitchen floor, tap
into the higher goal that mopping the kitchen floor supports
(having a clean and healthy home).

How does that feel?  Not bad, huh!  If you focus on the pleasure
that a desire gives you, you??™ll find it easier to put in the work
that it takes.  (One author gives the example of giving blood ??“
while the experience itself may be less than pleasant, the joy
comes in knowing *why* you??™re doing it).

And I absolutely guarantee that you will achieve more, maintain
your efforts, and have a much better journey along the way.

Over the next 12 months, instead of focusing on the effort, FOCUS
ON THE JOY.  Focus on the people and things that are most
important to you.  Focus on the pleasure you get out of moving
towards your goals.  Focus on the process of creating something,
not what results you expect.

Invest in yourself more than you ever thought was allowed.  Not
only will you reap rewards, but those around you will benefit
more than you ever believed.

You have probably heard other people say that "Money isn't everything"
or "Money can't buy happiness."  They may be right in some aspects;
but it's not just about the money.

It's about having an ideal lifestyle - being able to have control over
your time and schedule, having no one ordering you around, not having
to look at the price tags everytime you go out shopping, and just
enjoying the freedom that you truly deserve.

But why do many people fail to achieve financial freedom?
Through experience, I have observed that they have limited belief.

That's the problem with most people.  They have set up a boundary
in their minds.  This barrier stops any possibility of surpassing the
current limits of their belief.

For example, many people would think that their boring day job
is all that they're good enough for.  They do not like to think  
outside the box.  They do not grab opportunities that are theirs
for the taking. Fears and doubts have been causing them to miss
these golden chances of a lifetime.

There are plenty of opportunities out there.  They may enroll in night
classes, do some research on how to make more money, or start an
internet business.

When I was just starting my online endeavors, all my friends and
relatives (with the exception of my internet marketing friends, of course)
would discourage me in entering this venture. They would repeatedly
inform me that I'm wasting my time and nothing good would come
out of it.

Had I listened to them, I would not have achieved online success.  
If they have succeeded in implanting their own restricted beliefs into
my mind, I never would have tasted the joy of being an infopreneur.  

No offense to them.  I respect their decisions.  Everyone has the
right to voice out their opinions, but no one has the right to force
others in accepting their belief.  Thank goodness my internet marketing
pals have encouraged and supported me all the way.    

Believe that you have the capacity and power to attain
moneymaking success, and you're halfway there.

Plan everything.  Make a list of things that would allow you to save
money.  Cut back on using your credit card, pay your bills on time,
make wise investment decisions, and try your best to start in some
sort of business (no matter how small).  

More importantly, action should be taken.  It's not enough to
just believe.  You have to make a move.  Does making mistakes
frighten you?  Don't be.  The more mistakes you make, the
closer you will get to success.

Sacrifice.  Instead of watching TV or going shopping, invest more
time on those activities that would propel you in reaching your
financial goals.  

Many people would repeatedly complain that they're sick and
tired of their lives, but do they really deserve a better life?  
The harder you work, the more chances that success will hit you.

Never, ever give up.  Quitting is not an option.  You must keep
on pounding and pounding until you have achieved your mission.

Money may not be everything, but living your life the way you
want it to be is.

Computer tip : How To Backup Your Hard Drive

We all know that we should back up our system as soon as possible.
But if you're like most of us, you will get to it tomorrow. The problem
is that tomorrow rarely ever comes until you experience a serious
computer failure and then it's too late.
 
Taking the time to backup your data or entire hard drive is not as
painstaking as it may seem. And the rewards of doing so will be
great should your system experience a crash.
 
WINDOWS AND OTHER BACKUP SOFTWARE
 
If you have Windows XP you will need to install the new Windows
backup utility from the Windows XP cdrom. Just place the WinXP
cdrom in your cdrom drive and locate the line
D:\VALEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP.
 
Here you see the first letter as D but if your optical drive has a
different drive letter, exchange the D with your drive's letter.
To install the utility, click on the file  named NTBackup.msi.
 
The backup utility will be installed to the system tools group.
Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and
Backup. There is a neat wizard that will walk you through the
backup process.
 
WinXP's backup utility will backup your entire hard drive and
will make a recovery disk to boot.
 
One neat third party backup software you can try is NewTech
InfoSystems at http://www.ntius.com whereyou can download
their trial version and put it to use for 30 days. And if it's your
cup of tea, the full version will run you about $79.95
 
INCREMENTAL OR DIFFERENTIAL BACKUPS
 
You should back up your entire hard drive when you perform
your first backup. After that it is best to perform an Incremental
backup. This type of backup only allows you to backup files
that have changed since your last performed backup.
 
Differential Backups copy changed files that have been added
since you last did your entire backup. This type of backup is
more detailed than incremental backups and is easier to restore.
 
BACKUP STORAGE DEVICES
 
You can backup your files on cdroms and have the files
compressed to save both space and backup time. WinXP
will compress folders, subfolders, and files during backup.
 
You can purchase compression software that will do the same,
saving you cdrom storage space. The compressed files are
automatically uncompressed once they are restored onto
your hard drive.
 
You can also use a second hard drive as your backup
storage device. We use two backup hard drives to be
certain Ultimate PC Repair is up and running 24/7.
 
You can either purchase an internal hard drive and install it to
your ide cable, or you may want to purchase an external hard
drive that connects to your Universal Serial Bus or USB Port.
 
The advantage of the external drives is that they have very
large amounts of storage space, transfer data fast, and can
be moved from your computer to any other computer.
 
We use the Western Digital 170 Gigabyte External Hard
Drive and we simply bounce it around to either one of our
four computers with the greatest of ease.
 
USING ONLINE BACKUP SERVICES
 
You may also consider online services for backing up
your data. If you lose all your backup data, say due to
a natural disaster such as a flood, your online data is
right there waiting for you.
 
Another advantage of online backups is that you can
access, upload, or download your data from any location.
It is best to use high speed internet access if you're
considering online data storage.
 
One such online backup service is Istorage located at
http://www.iomega.com/istorage and charges from
$2.49 a month for 50MBs to $17.95 a month for a big
1,000MBs of storage.
 
Or you can check out FilesAnywhere located at the url
http://www.filesanywhere.com
 
Still another online service to try is CapSure located at
http://www.capsure.com
 
Backup your system now in one way or another if you
have not done so. If you have critical data that you simply
cannot do without, take the time to invest in a backup
device or one of the many online backup services.
 
Stop and perform those backups as soon as possible.
You will be thankful you did should something go wrong
with your computer. It's always better to be safe than sorry.
