Organizational Tips: Set SMART Goals
?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»
Kathy Gates, Professional Life Coach

Goal setting is a skill -- a skill learned like any other, such
as playing the piano, balancing a checkbook, or how to study.
It??™s not something that a few lucky people were born with.

Why is goal setting important anyway?  Studies show that while
less than 3% of people write their goals down and follow a plan,
those same 3% accomplish more than all the other put together.
WOW!

Don??™t you want to be part of that 3% who??™s actually accomplishing
their goals?  Then make sure your goals are SMART.

S ??“ Specific:
You??™ve probably all heard how important it is to have a very
specific goal.  Do you know why?  A specific goal has a much
better chance of being accomplished than a vague/general goal.
Why again?  Because frustration and confusion can be created when
it??™s difficult to tell whether you??™re really on the right track.
Instead you know your headed toward something specific, like
Milwaukee, instead of just ???north???.

M ??“ Motivational/Meaningful:
In order to succeed with a goal, it has to have a certain
emotional power to excite you enough to let you be willing to
spend the time and effort necessary to achieve it.  Are you
excited by your goal?  What??™s your motive?  What??™s your
motivation?

A ??“ Acceptable:
Is this something that you want for yourself?  Do you accept this
goal and the effort and time it will require of you?  Are you
willing and able to work towards this goal?  A goal is acceptable
to you when you feel comfortable with it, and believe that you
can accomplish it.

R ??“ Realistic/Real To Me:
Is the goal realistic for you?  Is it real to you?  Can you see
yourself in the future when the goal is reached?  What do you
look like, what are you doing, where are you doing it?  Your goal
has to be something you can visualize yourself doing.  If you
can't imagine it, you won??™t do it.

T ??“ Trackable/Target Date:
A goal must have a target date to be motivating and to help you
focus.  A deadline too far in the future is subject to ???Someday
Island??? ??“ a place you??™ll never get.  But a goal that??™s too tight,
too confining is discouraging.  Set your target date based on
small milestones, like how many classes you need to take for
training, or losing 1 pound per week.  Don??™t set yourself up for
frustration and therefore set yourself up to fail.

It??™s important to notice how all of these loop back into each
other.  The T for Target Date also needs to Realistic and
Motivational.  The S for Specific must relate to what??™s
Acceptable and Realistic to you.  Use them all in conjunction
with each other, and you??™ll be more likely to move forward on
your goals.

HomeBiz Tips: Ways to make money online
?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»
by Alvin Narsey

The home based business revolution is constantly evolving.
From its early beginnings to packing boxes in garages to stuffing
envelopes culminating to direct mail and now the internet, the
opportunity to make money in the new millennium is available to us all.

The internet has allowed ordinary people to make extraordinary
money working at home online.  There are many ways to make
money online, and even some ways to make money online for free.

My brief discussion is to point out that the internet is a medium to
make money at home.  The core essence of any business is its
products and or services it is promoting.  Traditional marketing
involved word of mouth, flyers, television, radio etc.  In fact, even
in today's digital age, many of these techniques of making money
from your products are still very applicable, and many companies
are still employing these strategies to a roaring success.  The
internet gives us another medium to market our products or service.

So, to make money from being online, you need to obtain a
product/service which you are comfortable in promoting.  Some
of the common ways to make money at home online include

?§ Affiliate programs,
?§ Paid surveys,
?§ Selling your own products eg: ebay
?§ A network marketing/MLM opportunity

Why make money using an internet business online?  The best part
of using the internet to make money online is that being online
allows you to leverage your time and your resources.  By being
on the internet, you can make money fast online.  Making money
online allows you to use some of the best software and technologies
that can put your business on autopilot and have your business
working globally and around the clock. Having a website will give
you a global presence online.

The key to making money online is to build relationships with
your prospects. For example, you can use an autoresponder
which will automatically update your customers and potential
customers about the products you are offering.  You can use a
weblog which will help people learn more about you, the seller.
Posting on forums relating to your product or service will help you
build an online presence. Please note that you will be a lot more
successful long term if you are helping people rather than
promoting your business and opportunity.  Helping others first
will always come back to you many times around, even though it
may not seem so obvious initially.  By being online you have the
privilege of helping people on a global scale and a potential to
make money a global scale too! Using the internet allows us to
integrate these various parts of marketing from the comforts of
our own home.

There are many ways to make money online.  The most
important aspect that you must consider when choosing
what avenue you will use to make money online at home
is how you will build relationships with your
prospects.

Computer tip : How to Unsubscribe
?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«

Sometimes, you might join a mailing list to receive a publication
such as this one, and decide you no longer wish to receive it.
All legitimate publications provide an "opt-out" method as they
certainly don't want to send their publication to someone who
doesn't wish to receive it.

Normally, you send an email to a special address which
automatically removes you from the list, and many times you will
receive a notice that you have been removed. But suppose you
don't receive a removal confirmation and you have not been
removed fr om the list. The questions is WHY?

When you subscribed in the first place, you had to give an email
address to which the publication would be sent. If the address is
the one that you normally use to send and receive email, you
should have no problem being removed from the list automatically.
If however, you used another email account such as Hotmail to
receive it, and you forward your mail to your regular account,
you can't be removed by sending a note from your regular account.

Most software that automatically removes you from their list,
examines the email address that the request was sent from, and
tries to remove that one. This is to prevent someone from taking
you off a list without your knowledge and is for your protection.
If you are subscribed under a "free" email account the only way
you can be removed is to send a remove request using that
account. You can send requests from your regular account "until
the cows come home" and you won't be removed. Why? - because you
are not subscribed under that email address.

We list the email address that we are sending it to right in the
Newsletter.  If that is the one you mail from, it is a simple
matter to be unsubscribed.  If however, it is different, you must
also let us know which one it is.

If all else fails, you can usually find the email address of a
contact person in the publication. A nice note to that person
will usually get the problem resolved. Since many publishers have
several newsletters, be sure to give the name of the one yo u
wish to drop.

Judge: Is there any reason you could not serve as a juror in

Judge: Can't they do without you at work?
Juror: Yes, but I don't want them to know it.

On a visit to my wife's native England for our
honeymoon, we arrived at London's Gatwick Airport.
Tania headed for the British passport control line
while I, an American, waited in the foreigners' line.
When my turn came, the customs officer asked me the
purpose of my visit.
"Pleasure," I replied.  "I'm on my honeymoon."
The officer looked first to one side of me, then the other.
"That's very interesting, sir," he said as he stamped my passport.
"Most men bring their wives with them."
---

At the end of their date, a young man takes the girl
back to her home. He decides to try for that first
kiss. With an air of confidence, he leans with his hand
against the wall and, smiling, he says to her,
"Darling, how 'bout a good night kiss?"
Embarrassed, she replies, "Oh, I couldn't do that. My
parents will see us!"
"Oh come on! Who's gonna see us at this hour?"
"No, please. I would just die of embarrassment if
someone saw us."
"Oh come on, there's nobody around, they're all
sleeping!"
"No way. It's just too risky!"
"Oh please, please, I like you so much!!"
"No. I like you too, but I just can't!"
"Oh yes you can. Please?"
"NO, no. I just can't."
"Pleeeeease?..."
Out of the blue, the porch light goes on, and the
girl's sister shows up in her pajamas, hair disheveled.
In a sleepy voice the sister says: "Dad says to go
ahead and give him a kiss. Or I can do it. Or if need
be, he'll come down himself and do it. But for crying
out loud tell him to take his hand off the intercom button!"
