Why? -There??™s always people promoting something every single day. And if your little promo campaign clashes with one of the big guns, chances are, you??™ll see very small, or no sale at all ??¦ You see, everybody has only a certain amount of money to spend. And if they already spend on something recently, it??™s hard to convince them to spend again. Just picture this, after spending $300 on a home-study marketing course. Would you still consider buying another $30 ebook that month? Probably not ??¦ See - that??™s what I mean. You??™ve got to always race for that little inch of space in your prospect??™s pocket. So what can you do about this ??¦ ?? How can you make it easier ??¦? You have to become a familiar face, or person. The market is a very noisy place. The more familiar people are to you, the more they will listen to you. When you are a familiar person, the other noises are filtered away and people to listen to you, intensely. Most of the times, people just go out and attack the mass public ??¦ It??™s hard to get the attention of the public all at once. Especially with all the huge names, and big guns already established themselves ??¦ If you are new, how can you compete with Joe Vitale, Armand Morin, Alex Mondassion ??¦ etc ??¦ ?? Instead of trying to compete with them, you should create your own little market, and make yourself known to them. Here??™s what you should do ??¦ First, think of a unique way of positioning yourself so that you appear different from others, even if you are offering the same thing. Offer a free gift, and start building your list. Next, you need to write to your list often. I write to my list every week. I share with them stories, experience, tips, opinions, even photos when I go on a trip ??¦ Little by little, you are starting to become a familiar person to your subscribers. And when you are familiar, it??™s easier to sell them your stuff, or promote something new to them. But just be sure you give them your honest opinion. You should not just send promos and articles from article directory. I get ezines like these myself, and I think to myself, ???What can this guy possibly share with me himself???? If that is all you do, you are not showing your unique personality. You are not showing your subscribers what you are capable of. You are not relating with your subscribers and I don??™t think that you will ever be that FAMILIAR person to them. It??™s like you have no substance at all! And you are not special. A better strategy is to talk to your subscribers and show them what you do. So here??™s an example of how I become familiar with my subscribers. I don??™t try to make a list with 1,177 subscribers in 7 days. There??™s no use to that if your subscribers are falling off your list, faster than you can recruit new ones. It??™s OK to have small success, be sure that it??™s effective. Maybe you are thinking, I am saying this because I don??™t have HUGE ones ??¦ well, maybe true. But small success are easier to achieve. And they also are easier to duplicate. A few months back I started DIYMinisite.com. I guess the niche is about how to build websites for internet business. There are many like this around, but my offer is special. At my site I offer something unique - minisite templates and video tutorials. And they are all for free. And there??™s also an ebook about minisite strategies from seven experts. It??™s not some resell rights product or anything like that. The videos and templates I created myself. So you can only get them from me. And I planted a viral strategy into the site. It??™s simple - if subscribers refer more subscribers to me, I??™ll give them 2 more free gifts. Now, there??™s no catch in joining DIYMinisite.com. People can join and leave anytime they want. They only need a name and an email address. Everyday I get new subscriptions with no additional promotion. With the list I'm building I email news, tips, etc ??¦ every week. I think I can safely say that I am a familiar person to the people on that list. And recently, I was promoting XSitePro (which is a great software - read my review). And sales poured in. And later, I offered design services. I didn??™t have to do much convincing, yet orders just came in. I don??™t even have a website about my design services. After every mailing to my list, I wait anxiously for feedback. I like getting it. Feedback tells you how your subscribers appreciate you, and treat you like a real person, rather than just another ezine publisher. Those that write back to me, some are even personal friends now. So now ??¦ do a check on yourself ??¦ * Do you build a list * Do you write often to your list * Are you showing your unique personality and abilities --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Iszuddin Ismail I know about XSitePro, but I never bothered. Here's How To Fix It ?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?» By Kevin Nunley Ever send out a sales letter or place an ad that doesn't get any response? Most of us have. And just about everybody figures the lack of response is because nobody wants the product or service, or the advertising medium doesn't reach the right people, or the ad didn't have enough sizzle. Frequently none of those reasons are the real problem. As often as not, people don't respond to an ad because they don't understand the language the ad uses. Here's an example of how this problem occurs: Years ago I was a radio DJ. I remember asking listeners to call in to win a vacation to Hawaii. Normally the phone lines would have been jammed with people trying to win, but this time nobody called. When we played back the tape, we realized I had mumbled the announcement asking listeners to respond. Listeners weren't calling because they didn't understand what I said. Here are two problems to look for in your ads, letters, and web pages. These are the two main reasons people don't understand your information or your offer. 1. Watch out for jargon. It tends to creep into our language no matter what business we're in. When I meet with teachers at my kid's parent conference, they use a lot of terms and codes I don't understand. We tend to do the same thing in business. A letter or email to a customer can use business-speak phrases like "in our considered opinion" and "enclosed please find." Simplify these into everyday language: "we think" and "here is." Often we use jargon and complex phrases in an effort to seem smart, serious, professional, or give our ideas more weight. While that may be a smart thing to do when communicating with other workers in your field, customers react best to straight, plain talk. After you write something, try to speak the same ideas. If you are saying something you wouldn't say in normal spoken conversation, change it to sound more natural. This ability to put even complex ideas into everyday language is the hallmark of many successful politicians. They know their careers depend on helping voters connect with their ideas. 2. Be careful with copy that is intended to be cute or funny. Most copy of this kind relies on a play on words or an inside meaning we figure most people will understand. The problem is many people won't know the inside meaning or won't get the play on words. Often, they'll read the words wrong in their mind coming up with a meaning that makes no sense. And what happens when copy doesn't make sense? Your ad gets deleted, sales letter goes in the trash, and visitors quickly click away from your sales page. Finally, please remember most of your prospects and customers are in a big hurry. Make it easy for them to QUICKLY understand your information and your offer. * Put your best stuff first so people can find it fast. If your low price is the main selling point, give readers the price right at the top of the ad. If your great service and follow-up is tops, be sure to mention that early on. * Keep words simple and sentences short. This helps even highly educated customers read your copy fast. Originally I wrote articles for print publications read by audiences with low education levels. I kept my language simple so that the audience would understand. What I didn't expect was busy CEO's started telling me they liked the articles -- because they could read them fast. For copy that gets attention and sells, insist on writing that is easy to understand and quick to read. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kevin Nunley has written sales letters, ads, and web pages for thousands of clients. It includes information like who sent the e-mail, the subject of the e-mail, the return path (to whom a Reply message will be sent), IP addresses, priority, type of message (HTML or text), and lots more. Most e-mail programs don't show you the "real" header in an effort to keep your computing experience all warm and snuggly. However, that's where it pulls the info for the subject line, sender, and such. If you can't resist and just have to take a look at it, go right ahead. In Outlook Express, right cl*ck the message you want to see header information for and select "Properties" from the resulting menu. A handy little screen will pop-up with a couple of tabs on it. Hit the "Details" tab and you'll see all the header information you'll ever want. With Thunderbird just highlight the email and type Ctrl+U and it will bring up the source code. The header info will be at the top. --------------- SMILEs : ?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?» A girl was telling her date about her old boyfriend, and while doing so was stroking her beer bottle up and down many times. Finally her date has had enough and says, " You're always thinking about him. Why don't you think about me once in a while?" "OK!" she says and starts stroking the top two inches of her bottle. --- I figured out why they call our language the "Mother Tongue." Fathers never get a chance to use much of it. --- "If my son is getting half as much out of college as the college is getting out of me, he'll be a success." Father's Day was both a joy and a worry as my kids were growing up. I was always afraid they were going to give me a present that I couldn't afford. --- "I'm sorry Jill, but this relationship just doesn't seem to be going anywhere." said the young man. "Awww Gee!" replied Jill. "And just after I won all those millions in the Lotto too." "Well..." stammered the man. "Perhaps we should give it a while longer yet." --------------------------- Rent this ezine ?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?» Morning Coffree offer a high exposure of your ads sending to over 15,000 mailboxes Please visit our site to see our ezine advertising offer http://www.valerianplanet.com/rent.html ?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?»?«?» DISCLAIMER: All of the Articles and Ads have been selected for their appropriate content.
