I think that anyone who has had a website has already come to
the conclusion that to achieve success, the traffic is very important.
Looking around, you may meet people saying that advertising, link
exchange or search engines are the most effective forms of obtaining
that traffic. And, with no doubt, they are right.

But, in our rush for the newest and the most effective forms, we forget
the beginning. And the beginning was The Content.

Good content is what brings people to your site.
Who is interested in a particular subject is looking for relevant sites.
Your site needs to have a theme, with loads of content related to
that theme. All of the advertising in the world will do almost nothing,
if you don't have something to catch the interest of your visitors in
and keep them.

Yes, Keep Them In, because if the offered information is really good,
people will come back again and again. Providing a valuable content
your site will have repeat visitors, will get recommendations often,
and will have tons of links pointing to it.

This is Traffic, and Traffic means Money

So work hard building your site around a theme. Getting traffic is easy
when your site is worthy of content. Let's see how you can do that :

1. Be consistent.
Offer only valuable information to your visitors. Add fresh content
often. Avoid bla-bla or easy-to-read items. People must see how much
energy you spend for your site.

2. Be relevant.
Take care to write about topics that apply to your visitors' interest and
experience.

3. Be original.
Collect your own resources and write your own content. If you have
not the required skills better hire someone to do it ( for money or for
free exposure in your site)

4. Be honest.
No scams, no hype, no cheating. People must trust in you and in your
website.

5. Be engaging.
Invite your visitors to participate by offering forums, pools, surveys or
quizzes.

6. Be yourself.
When you write for your site act naturally. If you have humor, use it,
if you haven't don't try. If you enjoy a cigar or a little drink don't deny.
With all pluses and minuses you have, you're unique anyway.

I can make a much longer list, but the key things have been pointed
One final tip. An authentic site should be easy to read and understand.
Before to post any material ask a relative or a friend to read it. You
will get unexpected comments and suggestions that will help you to
improve your work.

Often there can seem to be very little difference between two
marketing campaigns. However the difference between average
marketing and profitable marketing is immense.
Here are my 7 tips for ensuring success from your marketing campaign.

1. Promote to the right audience.

If your campaign is to succeed it must be aimed at the right people.
That is people that are willing and able to respond. In other words
they have a need/want for your product/service and the money and
authority to buy it. You need to know exactly who you are after and
make sure the promotional medium you use is correct. So if you're selling
something to Accountants then you need a list of Accountants to make
your offer to. Makes sense right.

2. Minimize risk for the customer.

A potential customer will not buy from you if they believe the risk of
doing so outweighs the return they will get. Or if they are unsure that you
will deliver what you have promised. So ask yourself what can you do
to let the customer know that the risk is firmly stacked on your side and
they really have nothing to lose? Answer this question and do it to
maximise results from your campaign.

3. Set up a follow-up system.

Rarely will you make a sale the first time you come into contact with
the potential customer. Stats show you may need up to 7 contacts
before they buy. So you must have a follow-up system in place for your
campaign. Get their email address and permission to stay in touch and
make sure you do. Follow-up with useful information for them and you
will increase your sales.

4. Make an irresistible offer.

You want people to buy right? To make sure they do your offer has
to be great, in fact it should be irresistible. As a guide it should sound
almost too good to be true but not too good, people are sceptical.
More than likely each customer you get will buy again from you in the
future so make their first purchase a small step and stack the deal in
their favour. For example 'get your first bag of Jim's Choice Coffee for
just $1 (normally $8.50) if you buy today'.

5. Know the lifetime value of a customer.

Acquiring a customer can seem expensive but it's not if you consider
what a customer is worth over their lifetime with your business.
Let's say Jim's Choice Coffee keeps a customer for 3 years and the
customer buys one bag of coffee a month from him. That's 36 months
times $8.50 a bag - $306 over their lifetime with his business. See how
it makes sense for him to offer a bag for $1 to start that $306
relationship.

6. Track your progress.

You have to know the numbers on your campaign. How many enquiries?
How many sales? What was the value of each sale? Did you make a profit
on the campaign? Will you make a profit over the lifetime of the customers?
You need this information to know whether the campaign was successful.
Also if it's a long term campaign these figures can tell you if you need to
make changes along the way.

7. Analyse and repeat or improve.

Once you have your figures you must analyse the campaign.
If it's profitable you should keep running it. If it's not you need to find
out why. Was it the offer? Was there too much risk for the customer?
Was the advertising medium wrong? Didn't you follow-up properly?
What went wrong and how can you fix it to make the campaign work.
Make changes and try again. Keep trying till you find the winning formula.
Marketing is trial and error but making sure you analyse and learn as you
go.

Two businesses -- a women's clothing boutique and a mail-order
operation -- recently consulted me about the same dilemma. Each
had achieved satisfying sales through channels that didn't allow for
further growth. They needed a fresh marketing program that would
yielda steady stream of new customers, and they were confused
about where and how to advertise.

Like Dorothy with the ruby slippers in the Wizard of Oz, they already
had most of what they needed for a solution, but they didn't know
how to use what theyhad. They needed to investigate who their buyers
-- especially their highest-spending and most frequent patrons -- were.
In doing so, they'd learn how to clone their best customers.

The general principle: Discover the characteristics of your current
customers and use that knowledge to reach more shoppers just like
them.

The clothing store already knew the age range, income level and some
cultural interests and hobbies of its clientele. I suggested that they find
out which newspapers, magazines and TV and radio programs their
buyers read, watch or listen to, as these might prove prime advertising
vehicles. Once ads are running in many places, you can also ask
customers which media outlet persuaded them to come into the store,
although many buyers don't remember this information.

The mail-order operation had little knowledge of the income or the
educational level of its purchasers, since orders so far had come in
through the anonymityof the Internet.  However, it was relatively simple
for them to send a follow-up questionnaire by e-mail, which asked a
buyer's age, educational background, employment status (employed
or self-employed), income bracket and profession. The brief
questionnaire also asked how satisfied they were with their purchase,
generating glowing testimonials along with a few complaints.
Questionnaire answers would help this business intelligently choose
where to advertise.

To the clothing store, I suggested marketing strategies besides
advertising for cloning its best customers. Since many store regulars
were involved with charitable organizations, the store could let
buyers know, through a postcard to its mailing list or a flyer slipped
in with purchases, that it might produce a fashion show to benefit
their favorite charity. Most likely, customers' dearest non-profit
organization appealed to others who would also be  attracted to the
boutique's distinctive style of clothing.

Since many patrons had creative hobbies, like painting, music,
weaving or writing, it made sense to appeal to others who spent
spare time on the arts. I suggested selecting a different customer's
creative work to feature in the store every month. I envisioned a
display of one woman's pottery or poetry, with a color photo of her
wearing the store's clothing. Surely the woman in the spotlight would
bring in friends like herself and patrons would urge their creative
women friends to apply for the honor.

Scientists say human cloning isn't quite on the horizon, but in marketing
cloning techniques likethese already produce new customers!

When you are performing your daily work, you are probably

Windows actually retains small fragments of applications that are
not removed until shutdown.

To keep your system running at peak capacity, log off shut your
computer down and turn it off. Wait a few seconds, and then turn it
back on. This will clean up your PC and get you back your memory.
