Today our subscriber Poul House is sharing his personal favourite
cofee with us. I must confess that I've tried it before and it is great.

Poul says in his mesage : "I've trained all the local coffee shops on this
one,
and now get to share it with the rest of the world."

2 shots of espresso
2 ounces of Caramel syrup
Steamed Heavy Whipping Cream.
16 ounce cup.

First, pour in the espresso, followed by the syrup.  Steam the cream in a
separate container.  If you're picky about temperature, stop steaming at
140 degrees (F), and it will continue to about 165 on its own.  Then,
just pour over the top of your espresso and syrup, stir if necessary.
You'll end up with something that tastes like a high-octane snickers bar.

Starting a home business is like putting together a jigsaw puzzle.
You're facing a pile of scattered pieces and it may be a little uncertain
where to begin.

I think that the best way to begin is by taking a look inside yourself:
at your talents, abilities, interests, and personal motivations.

1. Make an objective list of your talents and abilities.
Ask friends and family what they think you're good at doing.
You must be skilled in your field; whether it's computer programming,
selling, cooking, baking, etc.

2. Make a list with activities you enjoy.
This often will point to natural skills and abilities, and can be directed
into business ideas.

3. Make a list about "how would I like to spend a perfect day" or a
weekend, a holyday, a vacation. On one hand, such kind of list will
help you understand your interests and personality. On the other hand,
it's possible to find some answers regarding your future venture just
reading between the lines

4. Make a list with products and services you receive.
Evaluate what is good and bad to everyone. If you find something is
bad, think how you could improve it. Please, give this evaluating
process your undivided attention, and you will discover few starting
points for your new business.

5. Make a list with products and services you need, but you can't
find yet You'll be surprised at how many new ideas will rise in your
head.

6. Make a list with what your friends and colleagues are saying they
want or need. Their comments may inspire you to start a new service.

Before starting filling and evaluating the above list, think that many
exciting businesses didn't even exist a few years ago. So try to be as
creative as you can. You need to  think out of the box, you need new
pair of "glasses" in order to see potential business opportunities all
around you.

But take care, a good idea doesn't automatically translate into a success
business. There must be a market demand, I mean people willing to pay
for your product or service.

The final advice. It's important to be clear about why you want to start
a business, and what "success" would mean to you. You probably want
to earn money. It's ok, but how much ? Or may be you need a personal
status or to be recognized as an expert in certain field, but how high ?

When I first started my internet home business, I realized that
in order to make money I would have to bring visitors to my
website. I didn't have a lot of extra cash laying around, and my
mentality at the time was "Why would I pay for it, when I can
get it for free"? So, I starting searching the internet for
places that would accept an ad for my product for free. I was
very happy to find literally thousands of sites willing to
accept my ad.

As the weeks went by I worked hard and learned a lot. The phrase
that comes to mind when I think back is, "you get what you pay
for". I was placing ads on the internet every free moment I got
and was getting very little results. Not being one to quite, I
figured I would move on to another form of advertising or figure
out what I was doing wrong with the free advertising.

As soon as I placed my ad, I would go back and look at it. I
expected my ad to be at the top of the list since I had just
placed it. Much to my surprise, my ad was listed down the list a
little way. I realized that at the very moment that I was
placing my ad, others were doing the same. And as each person
placed an ad, mine moved further down the list. In my infinite
wisdom... I realized that potential visitors would probably not
search past the first page before choosing a product.

So then I decided that I would go into that site and place my ad
every few hours. This way I knew it would always stay close to
the top of the page, and hopefully be viewed by a potential
customer. How right I was!!! Eventually, I had my first customer
and had made my first sale on the internet! What a feeling! I
was ready to take the internet by storm...

The week ran into the weekend, and I continued in the same way
with my free ad campaign...and no luck. Several weeks went by
were I was getting visitors and making sales through the week,
and none on the weekend. Are you seeing a pattern here? I sure
did. I soon discovered through statistical data that I pulled up
from a search engine that the internet traffic on the weekend is
super low compared to the weekdays. I also learned that the
internet traffic is at its peak around the noon hour in the US.

From that day forward, I didn't waste my time advertising on the
weekends. Instead, I would sit down around 11:00 a.m. every
morning and run as many free ads as was humanly possible. I
could just about plan each day at noon that I could get a
potential customer, affiliate, sale.

I'm also a firm believer in the phrase "work smarter, not
harder". It didn't take me long to figure out that I could
utilize copy and paste and run the same ad in every category
that it applied. I also used the back button on my browser a
lot. Most of the time by using the back button, all my
information was still there and I could just choose a different
category.

It wasn't long before I had several paying customers and was
bringing in a small monthly income from my small internet
business. I often try to teach this method to my members who
cannot to pay for advertising to start out with...without much
luck unfortunately. Many will not sacrifice their time to this
extent, or they will run one ad on the internet and expect to
get up the next morning and be a millionaire.

For those of you who don't have the money to invest, you will
HAVE to invest your TIME. How much is your time worth? Many are
drawing 6-figure incomes from the internet within 2-5 years. The
internet has made more millionaires from the average Joe than
any other vessel in history. Is 2-5 years a hard pill to
swallow? It shouldn't be. How many of you are going to work your
nine to five job for 40-50 years and have nothing to show for
it?

Am I still running free ads? No, I'm not. I took my very first
paycheck that I earned from free advertising and put it back
into paid advertising. I can reach a vast number of customers
with paid ads with no effort on my part at all. Instead, my time
has been filled with teaching others to do as I have done, and
building my own business day by day.

Not a day has gone by in the last year and a half where I have
not built onto my business. I started out running free ads, then
I moved on to paid ads, ppc's, email lists, enzine ads, then I
built and optimized my own website, got link partners, got
listed with the search engines, etc...

If you want to turn your life around and live without any
financial constraints, then the internet is the place to be. All
it will take is patience, persistence and the will to succeed on
your part.

Let's face it, having a work at ho*me business on the
Internet is both exciting, as well as difficult. The
competition for customers, as well as the anonymity of the
Internet, leads to frustration at times by those marketing
their work at ho*me business online.

Many online chores can be time consuming also, taking
precious time away from other chores that would improve
marketing efforts and success. Since many people have to be
reached on a consistent basis by anyone endeavoring to
succeed online in their home business, a few tools, that
cost very little, are probably a necessity in the fast-paced
online marketing environment of today.

Five tools that are economical, and practically a
"must-have" for any serious online marketer, are as
follows:

1. A professional Website: Whether you are marketing your
own goods, services, or products, or whether you are an
Affiliate Program Member, or a Network Marketing Member,
your own professional Website is a virtual "must" (even if
it only looks "professional" and you've created it
yourself). There are many good template software programs
out there for this need, as well as affordable Website
design services. Affiliate Program "viral Websites" or any
Network Marketing "viral Website" can be used initially,
as well as the "sub-domain fre*e sites", but to see "real
sales" everyone will eventually need their own domain name,
and Website.

2. A good, reliable hosting service: Sometimes the most
affordable is not the way to go, as affordability may
sometimes result in a lot of "downtime" for your site,
which you want to avoid as much as you can. Most hosts do
experience some "downtime" off and on (this can't really
be avoided, as technology is never that predictable), but
ask others about their own "downtimes" on their sites
before choosing a Web host, as too much "downtime" will
result in too many lost sales.

3. A good Auto-responder: An auto-responder will
automatically generate a pre-written message to anyone
seeking more information from you or your business. In any
work at ho*me business, especially if you are the "sole

4. A professional Web address with email: Fre*e e-mail
accounts are good for personal contact on the Internet, but
should be avoided when establishing an Internet ho*me
business. It simply is more secure and looks more
professional to have a "business e-mail" with a
consistent, well-established ISP (Internet Service
Provider), than it does to have a "fre*e" e-mail account.
This lends credibility to your business.

5. A good, reliable e-book on marketing, written by a
well-known reputable marketing "expert": Look around
diligently for this. Although marketing e-books abound, the
really good ones are few and far between. A good marketing
e-book should cover everything from advertising to zeroing
in on your niche market. Digest the book you choose before
starting, and you'll see your efforts reap rewards much
sooner than if you "try and go it alone" immediately.

These tools are just a start, and of course, there are many
more. These are what I consider the "basics" though and
will help get you started successfully in your work at ho*me
business.
