Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the first StereoBase newsletter in what seems a very long time!?  Don't worry though, the site isn't going into hiding or anything like that - it's just simply a case of too many things to do and too little time and sadly the site has had to take a bit of a back seat recently.

Anyway, onto happier things.?  You might notice that this message is coming from Zinestar rather than Bravenet.?  Due to the popularity of the StereoBase newsletter we simply exceeded the maximum number of subscribers that Bravenet would handle on their free service.?  To upgrade would have cost about ??50 per year.?  Instead we got in touch with Zinestar who offered a free service for up to 20,000 people; we're no where near that but I thought it worth explaining the change!?  That's another reason for the time taken between newsletters as we've had to manually import the hundreds of subscribers from one service provider to another!?  Not fun!?  One of the other great thing Zinestar can do is host a newsletter archive, so if you miss a newsletter just just the archive - there's a link on the homepage by the newsletter sign up box!

The tour has kicked off and has been received positively all over the place.?  There's a fantastic review and photos of the 09/09/05 Birmingham gig on the site and as always we're looking for your contributions - so if you've been to, or are going to, one of the gigs, feel free to e-mail over your reviews, anything from a paragraph to several pages - all welcome!

Devil is released on Monday and fingers crossed they'll chart well.?  As with Dakota and Superman it's been well received!?  V2 have come up with a deal with Recordstore to get the 2 CDs and the 7" for ??5 (excluding postage).?  If you're after the 7" that a great deal.?  Have a look at http://www.recordstore.co.uk/stereophonics.

In the next week we're also going to be bringing you a world exclusive of yet more previously undiscovered tracks.?  Yes, StereoBase has tracked down a four song demo from the Blind Faith days and we're going to give you all the details.?  Sadly we can't post the actual songs on line due to copyright restrictions but we hope to give you a real flavour of where the band were at that time!
