After 7 years, the time is right for StereoBase to pass into Stereophonics
history. When the existing web hosting, URL and mail deal is up they will not
be renewed and the site will lapse. Unfortunately I don't have the time needed
to run the site properly, and there are other people out there doing a much
better job that I ever could.

The good news is that I'm talking to three websites to take elements of the
site that are unique and popular, specifically the collectors centre! More news
on that shortly, but it's nice that parts of the site will live on!

Also, I have made the decision to part with the majority of my personal
collection. Demo tapes, platinum discs, all kinds of wierd and wonderful stuff.
There are some things that are too special to part with that I will keep, but

StereoBase is back!  After a year in the wilderness due to work committments,
the good news is that the site is returning with a new look!  Just launched
today is the funky new look to the site, so I hope you'll head down to
www.stereobase.co.uk (http://www.stereobase.co.uk) and take a look!

The site will be more news focussed than before, aided by our new blog news
service.  Unfortunately the collectors' centre won't be updated for the
foreseeable future, but I'm investigating ways in which the site's users can
become involved in this.

In future, I hope to re-jig the forum to get rid of the adverts, and use a

Firstly welcome to all the new subscribers to the list!?  It's been a while
since the last message and I know there are many new members, so hello!

Sadly the site has had to go on the back burner recently during to work
committments.?  Anyway, perhaps it's good that it's happened in a relatively
quiet period for the band!

Saying that, at the start of the year the Europe Tour with Oasis and the
Bangkok Festival had to be sadly cancelled due to a family illness.?  No doubt
the band will be back playing some gigs later in the year though.?

fans! We need your help!

Over the past couple of days StereoBase has been in touch with the legendary
Simon Collier. Many of you will know Simon, and we're sure when you see the
photo many of you will recognise him! Simon worked tirelessly as Kelly's guitar
technician for 10 years, having originally been a member of Blind Faith and
Tragic Love Company before Stereophonics hit the big time.

Just a quick message to let you know that the band are on BBC Radio 1 tonight
(19/9/05) from 9PM UK time.?  They are appearing live on the Lamacq Live
sessions and it is likely to? a? gig from the Language. Sex. Violence. Other?
tour.?  However, we aren't sure yet whether it will be a pre-recorded show from
earlier in the tour or live from tonight's gig at London's Hammersmith Apollo.?
  Whatever it is, it's bound to be a good one as the band are on fire at the
moment!

Radio 1 can be found at 97-99FM, on digital TV and radio and also broadcasts
live on the internet from http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1.?  Earlier in the year
fans from around the world listened in to fantastic internet-broadcast gigs
from Paris and Amsterdam so fingers crossed there will be many people out there
enjoying the gig!

Don't worry though, the site isn't going into hiding or anything like that -
it's just simply a case of too many things to do and too little time and sadly
the site has had to take a bit of a back seat recently.

is coming from Zinestar rather than Bravenet.?  Due to the popularity of the
StereoBase newsletter we simply exceeded the maximum number of subscribers that
Bravenet would handle on their free service.?  To upgrade would have cost about
??50 per year.?  Instead we got in touch with Zinestar who offered a free
service for up to 20,000 people; we're no where near that but I thought it
