Hello everyone. This is Kay, Patsy's daughter. Mom's husband, my Dad, (Rob) passed

away on Dec. 30/03. The funeral was held on Jan. 02/04.
Rob was honored and remembered by all, and everyone in attendance showed respect and

love for who he is. God called another angel home to help watch over his flock. We

know he's with our Heavenly Father now and is watching over us. Thank You to all of

you who Prayed, Emailed your Condolences, Called, Sent Cards, and showed your

support and love
for my family. Each gesture and contact was surely appreciated.

Mom (Patsy) has taken this very hard. They had a wonderful relationship & lots of

fun together, as you know from her little stories in her news. I (Kay) will be

taking over the news for now till Mom feels up to it. She's only on the computer a

few minutes a day. There are 1000's of cards & emails for her, that she hasn't seen.

I purchased some extra megabytes of mail space for her & put them in files until she

is up to seeing them. She asked me to thank you for all the love & support of the

few she has seen thus far.

Many of you have asked how you might help. The funeral expenses were over $6000. If

you want to make a donation to that, you can mail Mom from the bottom of the

newsletter, make it through her Paypal to:
rpkdv@nf.aibn.com OR you may do so through my Paypal at: kieshaa@hotmail.com & I

will see that it gets to her in the form of a cheque. Thank you so much for all your

kindness to us in our grief.
God Bless You,
Kay

-=*=-A great natural substitute for plain ole sugar is *honey*
-=*=-Almost any recipe can be made sugar *free* if you're creative.
-=*=-Instead of sugar, you can use a sugar substitute of equal value.
HOWEVER, you have to remember to reduce the amount of liquid in the recipe, because

you use so much less "EQUAL" than you would "SUGAR".
-=*=-Apple sauce or any mashed fruit of your choice can be used in place of sugar in

many a recipe.
-=*=-Instead of Chocolate you can use carob, which is very healthy &
sugar-free* as well, or use cocoa & add your desired fruit.
-=*=-When making a substitution, make note of the liquid texture of
your replacement to make sure your fruit etc. equals in liquid form,
what the recipe calls for as the sweetener.

*-=*=-* Black and White Chocolate Bars *-=*=-*

Black and White Chocolate Bars

1 lb Real white chocolate, melted
1 lb Chocolate chips; melted
3/4 c Evaporated milk
1/4 c margarine
1 ts Vanilla (or other extract)
1/2 c Toasted hazelnuts (or walnuts)

To ensure that the recipe will set up properly, do not use white baking confections

that are not real white chocolate. The word "cocoa" should appear in the

ingredients.
Line the inside of an 8" square baking pan with plastic wrap and set aside.

Toast nuts by placing on a cookie sheet and baking in pre-heated 350 degrees F. oven

until skin begins to flake off. Remove skins by rubbing with a clean towel. Chop

nuts with a knife, or pulse in a food processor.

Melt chocolate in a separate medium-sized bowls over double boilers.

Combine and melt the evaporated milk and Gold?ft margarine over medium heat. Remove

from heat and reserve.

Add half the milk and margarine mixture to the melted chocolate chips. Mix well,

pour into lined baking dish, an spread evenly. Refrigerate a few minutes.

Add balance of milk mixture to the melted white chocolate, then add the vanilla and

mix until well blended.

Smoothly spread the mixture over the first layer and top with nuts. Refrigerate

until firmly set (24 hrs.) and cut into bars. Store chilled.
