First an update on Kyle. He has been flown to a Neuro Critical ICU in Columbus. They are not sure what is wrong, but, he had a horrible day yesterday. Kay was with him all day, after the ambulance took him away. He has been disoriented, very high BP, high temperature, his heart stopped at one point. He was fighting the hospital staff, which is not his nature. It took 8 staff, 6 hours, to calm him enough to move him, along with drugs. He is on a ventilator now & we hope to know more soon. He has been found to have a bad infection in his chest, where the catheter for his dialysis is located. They took it out & moved it to his leg & he's on heavy doses of antibiotics. They have kept him sedated for testing & may try to wake him up on Thursday. Right now he isn't responding to foot touch or anything. For those who don't know...Kyle is my son-in-law, a great guy. We still don't know his prognosis & praying he comes through this. Over very low heat, melt chocolate; cool slightly. In food processor, puree all ingredients, except chocolate and powdered sugar, until smooth. Add melted chocolate. Blend well. Crust: In a medium bowl, mix cookie crumbs and butter. Press into bottom of 9-inch ungreased cheesecake pan or 9-inch greased springform pan and freeze. Filling: In a large mixer bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar on medium-high speed for 3 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Mix in vanilla. Divide batter into three equal portions. Mix the melted semisweet chocolate into one-third of batter. Mix the white chocolate into another third. Stir strawberries into remaining third. Spread dark chocolate batter over crust. Refrigerate about 5 minutes to firm. Spread white chocolate batter carefully over dark chocolate layer, covering it completely. Refrigerate 5 minutes. Spread strawberry portion over white chocolate layer. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is light brown and the center has a slight jiggle to it. Cool for 2 hours. Refrigerate at least 6 hours.
