Hello everyone, Here's what we know till now. Kyle had an MRI last night & the results show a small amount of blood on the brain. This is not unusual when the Blood Pressure has been very high & also his brain is swollen. They still have no idea what drove his BP so high & what has happened to him. He still is not responding to neurological testing, but, Kay, his Mom, all brothers & sisters & spouses, 10 of them, spent most of the night & the day with him. They all talked to him & joked with him & watched his eyes flutter a few times, so, they are hopeful that this is Kyle trying to respond. However, the Doctors report is very grim. They feel he should have been awake by now, have verified that he is in a coma, & the longer he is in a coma, without responding, the less his chances are of EVER responding. They are doing a CT Scan tomorrow & hoping to know more. They said the next 24-48 hours are crucial. We are all worried to say the least. Please keep sending prayers & positive thoughts his way. Kay is exhausted. I am managing ok, just tired. I stayed on the phone & chatting with Kay last night until she left for the hospital & now I will be doing her news for you again. Line an 8-inch round cake pan with foil. Coat foil with cooking spray. Dust pan with flour, tapping to remove excess. Microwave 2/3 cup chocolate chips, butter and unsweetened chocolate in large microwave-safe bowl on High for 1 minute. Stir until smooth. Return to microwave for 30 additional seconds if necessary to melt chocolate. Stir in cranberry sauce and sugar, mixing well. Add eggs, vanilla, flour and baking powder, stirring until well mixed. Pour batter in prepared pan. Bake for 40 minutes or until center is set and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan 30 minutes. Refrigerate one hour or until cold. Make glaze: Microwave cream and chocolate chips together in medium microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute on High. Stir until smooth. Return to microwave for 30 additional seconds if necessary to melt chocolate. Add cranberry sauce, mixing well. Turn cake out onto flat serving plate. Remove foil. Spread glaze over top allowing some to drip down sides of cake. Chill about 1 hour or until glaze is firm. Can be made a day ahead of time. Store at room temperature.
