Hi Again, Today Aug23/05 (yesterday now:) Ahhhhhh what can I say. The nurse reports movement in Kyle today. Moved his hand and leg on command (meaning she asked him and he responded) He also moved his eyes to the side of the bed she was standing on when she spoke. We/They are unsure as to whether or not Kyle can see (They think he can see but can't determine if he is recognizing what he's looking at yet) Kyle is being moved to a (accute longterm care facility ) It's a hospital within OSU that rents it's building from OSU. I was so very happy yo hear this as it's only one wing away from where he is now. He will be given Physio Therapy here every day and will be worked with and monitored more closely for progress. We hope and Pray harder then ever that this will be the last move he will have to make before he returns home to us. It will all depend on his progress. Oh yes today they took him off the ventilator and he has been breathing completely on his own for most of the day but they will return him to the vent this evening so he doesn't get too tired. The other thing at the new (placement) he will be weaned off the vent eventually. He could be in this place for a couple months. So please help us pray harder then ever for improvement so he is able to come home to us in good condition and able to enjoy life again. Sugar 10 ea. Egg Yolks 2 oz. Cake Four 6 ea. Egg Whites Frangelico Liqueur Cream sugar & egg yolks & egg yolks until light in color & set aside. Sift flour & hazelnut meal & mix together. Whip the egg whites until they form a stiff peak & gently fold in the yolk & flour mixtures. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper & spread batter evenly over pans with a spatula. Bake at 340 degrees for about 15 to 20 minutes; test with a skewer. Mousse: 3-1/2 oz. Sugar 18 ea. Egg Yolks 2 oz. Praline Paste 1 pt. Milk 14 Gelatin Sheets (or 1-3/4 oz powder gelatin) 24 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate (chopped) 10 ea. Egg Whites 17 oz. Sugar 3 oz. Glucose 1 qt. Whipped Cream Cream the 3-1/2 ounces of sugar, egg yolks & praline paste until light in color & set aside. Place milk in pot, bring top a boil and remove from heat. Add the pre-soaked gelatin sheets and chopped chocolate until everything is dissolved; add sugar & egg mixtures. Make an Italian Meringue by cooking 17 ounces of sugar & 3 oz. glucose in a pot with enough water to cover mixture; cook until it reaches 240 degrees. Slowly add sugar mixture to egg whites & blend with a mixer on low speed. After all the sugar has been added, turn mixer on high to form a nice stiff Meringue. Fold chocolate mixture into the Meringue & then gently fold into the whipped cream. To Assemble: Place Hazelnut cake in the bottom of a rectangular pan (9"x13") with a 2 inch side & soak with Frangelico Liqueur. Use half of the chocolate Hazelnut mousse & spread evenly over cake. Place the second cake on top & soak with Frangelico Liqueur. Spread the remaining mousse over the cake until it reaches the top of the pan & smooth out with a spatula. Add egg yolks & blend with electric mixer. Add cream a little at a time, beating well after each addition. Chill mixture in refrigerator. While cream mixture is chilling, grate chocolate chips in blender or food processor or using a rotary grater, until fine. Stir into cream mixture.
