Hello everyone, Note from Kay: Hi Momma, Kyle did not have the Echo-cardiogram done today.....they tried and the Dr's asked him to swallow and apparently they couldn't do it unless he swallowed for some reasopn which escapes me but I'll find out tomorrow when we got up. We have an hour cleared for visiting...*S* Also.....he's been a little quiet last 24 hours nurse said he's not moving around as much. Oh they did a split the pot at Kyles work where they gather money and theres a draw and one person whose name gets picked gets half of what they gather up. Caramelize 1 cup of the sugar in a heavy saucepan over medium-low heat. Do not stir, but watch closely & tilt pan so that sugar melts evenly and does not scorch. Slowly & carefully pour the boiling water into the caramelized sugar, & stir to mix. Add the remaining sugar, creamer & salt. Cook over medium heat, & stir until all ingredients are mixed & mixture comes to a boil. Without stirring, cook until mixture reaches 238 degrees F on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat & cool to lukewarm (pan bottom is barely warm to the touch). Beat until candy loses its gloss & holds its shape. Fold in grated orange peel & nuts. Spread in a buttered 8-inch square dish. Melt some chocolate squares & drizzle over the squares. Let cool. Cut into squares.
