Hello everyone, Kay & the kids went to see Kyle today. Report: Kyle was a bit sluggish but over all we had a good visit. He smiles at us all 5-6 times...squuezed our hands, Mouth Ween<<yes correct spelling is ween which is what he calls Tina.....mouthed mom, and home... He really made a connection with Tina and Nikita.....she was crying and he grabbed for her with his hand....and she held it and he squeezed..... We all hugged him and kissed him and held him and Nikita did his feet and Kiefer held his hand told him he loved him and to get better , and we missed him and get better so he can come home. I think he squeezed all our hands.. Once he squeezed Nikitas hard and she could hardly stand it..LOL He responded to my voice and Tinas real well and kids too but ours more.....Tina said a few weeks ago she hoped he recovered enough to call her ween again co;s he's the only one who calls her that and he DID mouth it tonight twice. Kiefer told Kyle we all remember him in our prayers every night. He was looking right at Kiefer when he was talking to him, so he knows:) (((Awwwwwwwww))) Oh the guy who won the (split the pot) draw when we got the $200....well originally it was suppose to be less and he gave 1/2 of it back and said Kyle needed it more then he did. What a sweet gesture on his part. Found this out when I stopped at Dianes on my way to town. We are grateful for that guy AND all of you, for your prayers, beautiful notes, thoughts, support, & love. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well dispersed. 2. Melt the chocolate and set it aside. 3. Cream the brown sugar and butter together. Add the egg and beat until light and creamy. Add the cream, egg, and extract and beat for about five minutes. 4. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed ingredients, mixing until combined. Refrigerate the dough for one hour or until it is firm. 5. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Roll the dough to 1/4-inch thick. Cut into shapes and place on ungreased baking sheets. 6. Bake for 9 to 10 minutes or until the cookies just start to look dry and firm. Immediately remove them to wire racks to cool. Once cool, frost them using the frosting recipe below. For the frosting: 3 tablespoons butter 1/4 cup brown sugar 2 tablespoons cream 1/4 cup malted milk powder 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar 2 tablespoons meringue powder (optional) more milk or cream as needed 1. In a saucepan, heat the butter, brown sugar, and cream, stirring as needed to dissolve the sugar crystals. Once the sugar crystals are dissolved and the mixture is hot, remove the pan from the heat. 2. Stir in the malted milk powder and vanilla extract. Add the powdered sugar.
