Hello everyone, Note from Kay:) Sept 2 The kids and I and his sister went to visit Kyle tonight and we got to stay for a whole hour.....normally it's 1/2 strick visit but we called ahead and cleared more time because often it takes us 1/2hr to get Kyle awake enough to respond. Kyle was a bit sluggish but over all we had a good visit. He smiled at us all 5-6 times and squeezed our hands. He Mouth Ween<<yes correct spelling is Ween which is what he calls Tina, his sister.....mouthed mom, and home to her as well... He really made a connection with Tina and Nikita.....she ( Nikita) was crying and he grabbed for her with his hand....and she held it and he squeezed..... We all hugged him and kissed him and held him and Nikita did his feet and legs with hand cream and Kiefer held his hand told dad he loved him and to get better, and we missed him and get better so he can come home. Kiefer told Kyle we all remember him in our prayers every night. I think he squeezed all our hands.. Once he squeezed Nikitas hard and she could hardly stand it..LOL He responded to my voice and Tinas real well and kids too but ours more.....Tina said a few weeks ago she hoped he recovered enough to call her Ween again co's he's the only one who calls her that and he DID mouth it tonight twice. Mouthed it due to having the teac in and can't speak. They are trying to find the exact place in his body where there is an infection causing him to have a slight fever all week. They thought it was in his heart valves but a chest ultra sound showed nothing. One of his lungs shows some stuff in it so they are doing some kind of vibrations to loosen the stuff in his lungs. They have to suction it often to help him. He is coughing up alot of stuff which is good and he has a good strong cough. He is on oxygen about 40% of the time and needing it less and less. They are trying to have him moved out of ICU and I have flat out refused to have him placed somewhere where there are 50+ patients and one nurse to care for them all. There are still too many risks and his lungs are weak and infection is still in his body and seems to have been there all along, which isn't clearing up (reason for fevers). They need to put a new dialysis line in his chest again but they can't /won't do it while he has any sign of a fever, which is good (Shows they care enough to be careful). They tried to use the new shunt in his arm this week and it clotted off and right now makes it useless. Well I think thats all for now. We/the family have been very blessed in the last couple of weeks in many many ways and we want to send *hugs* and thank you to those responsible. Your thoughts and continued prayers are working and we have alot of faith there will be more blessings to come real soon and that Kyles recovery will be due in part to those prayers. Grease and flour 12-cup Bundt pan or 10-inch angel food tube pan. Sift flour, cocoa, salt and soda together. Mash the bananas with fork. Cream butter and sugar until light. Add sour cream and bananas to butter and sugar. Beat the eggs until well blended. In four stages, beat eggs into butter-sugar-sour cream-banana mixture. Blend in half the flour-cocoa mixture. Stir in the milk and remaining flour. Mix only until evenly blended. BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVER-MIX BATTER. Spoon into prepared pan and bake 30 minutes on the lowest level of your oven. Rotate cake, moving the back to the front. Continue baking until a wooden pick pulls out clean from the center - about 30 minutes more. Let cool in pan 5 minutes on a rack.
