( USA ) aol link *-=*=-* Strawberry Chocolate Trifle *-=*=-* Strawberry Chocolate Trifle Recipe 1 18-oz. pkg. yellow cake mix 1 cup water 1/3 cup oil 3 eggs 1 pkg. 6-serving size chocolate pudding mix (NOT instant) 3 cups milk 4 cups sliced strawberries 1 8-oz. container frozen whipped topping, thawed Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 15x10" jelly roll pan. In large bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil & eggs & beat until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed & pour batter into prepared cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean & cake begins to come away from sides of pan. Cool completely. In heavy saucepan combine pudding mix & milk & stir with wire whisk until combined. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens & comes to a boil. Remove from heat & cool for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cut cake into 1" pieces & place half in bottom of a large glass bowl. Pour half the cooled pudding over the cake pieces & place half of the strawberries on top. Repeat layers. Top with whipped topping. A must for every cook ( International ) aol link *-=*=-* Chocolate Almond Pastries *-=*=-* Chocolate Almond Pastries 1 2-crust package refrigerated pie crusts 1 cup ground almonds 1/4 cup powdered sugar 1 egg white 4 oz. semisweet chocolate, divided Let pie crust pouches sit at room temperature for 15 minutes. Melt 2 oz. of the chocolate in small saucepan over low heat. Combine ground almonds, powdered sugar, egg white & melted chocolate in a small bowl & mix well until combined. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Unfold pie crusts & peel off top plastic sheets, then press out fold lines. Remove remaining plastic sheets. Cut each crust into 24 wedges. Place 1/2 tsp. chocolate mixture on wide end of each wedge, & roll up, starting at wide end & rolling to opposite point. Place point side down on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake filled pastries at 425 degrees for 8-13 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely. Melt remaining chocolate in small saucepan over low heat. Drizzle over cooled pastries.
