Website
Work
Work
continues on The Specusphere website. There is still
a lot more to be done, however. Our website designer and
webmaster can only get together occasionally to work on the
site — family, uni and work commitments are always more
important considerations — so please bear with us.
Some
changes to the site that you will see in coming weeks are:
In
response to readers’ comments the magazine’s front
page will be re-arranged to incorporate a list of the latest
articles that have been added. We will also list the articles
in the index pages by date rather than alpha order.
We’ve
decided to change the categories for the magazine. This is so
that readers can better understand the type of content each
category is targeting.
Regular
visitors may have seen some activity on the directory pages.
In the main these are tests and we won’t be ready to go
live for a while yet.
New
Blood
The magazine welcomes Justin Coughlan to its editorial team.
Advertising:
At present we offer advertising space for a fee. However, given
that the site is still at an early phase of its growth, we will
offer advertising free to subscribers. If you are interested
in advertising your site, book, business, blog, etc, please
contact Stephen Thompson with an expression of interest.
Contributions
Please
send papers, brief news and media releases by email to s.thompson@specusphere.com.
Content
providers: We will always need content. If you go to
see a film, a play, watch TV, browse the internet, read a book
or have an idea that you want to express, write a few lines
about it and send to The Specusphere. We encourage new voices
and love to read new views on the world of speculation.
Would
you like to join an email list that produces content for The
Specusphere? I want to experiment with a new type of article
— collaborative articles. The idea is to set up an email
group where anybody can initiate a discussion topic with the
specific intent of creating an article or review for the magazine
using the words of those who participated. Contact Stephen Thompson
if you are interested.
This
list could also be used for the editorial team to announce books
available for review, film review tickets or any other writing
opportunity that comes our way.
