How to Take Consciously
by Andrei Yashurin

The universe abundantly provides for our needs, but this provision does not come to us automatically. It should be consciously recognized and appropriated. Recognition involves knowing the fact that all the things we need rightfully belongs to us, because each one of us take a vital part in the universal life unfoldment. We were brought to being for a certain purpose, and we've been potentially equipped with all the things which are required for accomplishing of that purpose. Once we come to this realization deep in our hearts, many of our worries and fears become eliminated.

What is our life purpose? There is no simple answer to this question, because each one's role is unique, just like each one of us is unique. But in general terms, we might say that we are destined to evolve and to make our contribution to the universal evolution. This becomes possible as we express ourselves in various ways: in our work, in our relationships with people and with the world, in our social activities, in our thoughts, words, and attitudes.

Expression is equal to the energy flow through us. But for energy to go out, we first need for energy to come to us. Expression takes tangible and intangible resources. We've got to have knowledge, information, and ideas. We've got to have raw materials and instruments for our work. We've got to have cooperation of others. These are the most obvious examples, yet their implication is clear: the greater is our expression, the more resources we need.

Perhaps, this is one of the reasons why some people who dream about being rich, do not become rich. They don't put those desired riches in the context of their life purpose. They have no idea of the concept of the energy flow. They see no connection between the level of their provision and the level of their expression. And even if abundance comes to them, they don't have the proper mindset to handle it.

The universe will give us all the things we need for our inner development and outer expression, but we should realize that money isn't the best resource in many cases. There are other things to look for as well.

This is not an attempt to downplay the role of money. I fully agree with Brad Jensen who said that people who condemn money, condemn their power to get what they want. We have all the rights to use all the legitimate methods to get all the money we think we should have. But in situations where we cannot buy certain things, our creative imagination often comes to play. Seeming lack is one of the ways to move us on to new inventions and discoveries. Let us recognize that creative ideas are also the essential part of our abundance.

In the process of transcending of our limitations, we often come to the understanding of connection between an apparent lack and a lack of self-esteem. In other words, we don't take that which we need because we think that we are unworthy of it. If we would like to express ourselves in greater measure and at deeper levels, we've got to let go this feeling of unworthiness. It won't do us any good.

Some people talk a lot about distinguishing between legitimate needs and desires. But I would like to notice, first of all, that the difference is far from being clear. Besides, too much thinking on whether we "really need" this or that, takes us into a wrong direction. Rather that being focused on deepening of our expression, we become obsessed with minor issues. As we do that, feelings of unworthiness may creep back into our minds. The truth is, we won't gain anything of value by thinking too much about self-restrictions.

Self-respect implies respect for our desires. We've got to accept them as an important part of our being, worthy of our consideration. We don't have to treat them with suspicion. There but few rules we should have in mind while we deal with our desires.

First, we've got to make sure that these desires are truly ours – that they were not imposed on us by our social surrounding, by skillful manipulators or advertisers. Our desires should not be mixed with fear. The more we know ourselves, the less we desire the things which cause us to regret afterwards. Second, we need to make sure that the fulfillment of our desire won't hurt other people. Third, we should be prepared to pay the full price for all the things we want. As long as we are in agreement with these guidelines, we are free to take and to use the resources which are at our disposal.
