I've just returned from a trip to Guatemala that had a lot of impact on me. Our
daughter has been working there for 8 months, and now I understand why she is
so drawn to this beautiful and yet troubled country. I plan to share some

A warm welcome to new members. We've had quite a few
new people join the Rising Sun EFT Group recently.


First, I have a short-but-sweet little EFT story for you. I recently
did a weight loss class for a group of elementary school teachers in
which I taught them EFT. The next week, one of them reported to us on
how she had been using tapping with her kindergartners. Each morning,
they have a sharing circle to start their day and she helps them
focus on good thoughts and positive feelings. Now she's incorporating

I have an excellent article for you from Carna Zacharias-Miller that I find
very moving. Carna does wonderful, sensitive work with the inner child. I
believe that this is often the most deeply transformative work we can do. When
we can go back, as the adult who deeply understands this child that we were,
and honor what she went through and tap for her, it is profoundly healing.
I also have a networking request from Sebastian Lean, an EFTer just beginning a
practice in Australia. He would like to connect with other EFTer's there. He
would like to know more about the pros and cons of being licensed in psychology
for EFT practitioners in Australia, among other things. I know we have quite a
number of group members "downunder," so please do write to him if you can.

I recently came up with a novel way of using EFT to help a client who had some
"bones to pick" with several people but knew it would be unwise to really
confront them. It was a work situation in which he (we'll call him Paul) had
been treated unfairly by several colleagues. Due to the dynamics of the
workplace, it would have only made things worse to have it out with them, but
Paul was still seething with anger and resentment . Here's what we did.

I had Paul sit in my recliner, which made it easy for me to tap for him.  As he
thought about his feelings concerning each of the three people who had wronged
him, we tapped like this:

Here's an article about using EFT for children from Alina Frank of Seattle. She
wrote the article for a local publication. I had never thought about explaining
EFT right in an article like this, but Alina shows us how and does a good job
of it. This is a great way to spread the word about EFT. I hope her article can
inspire more of us to submit EFT articles to our local papers or magazines.

EFT to help him through the overwhelming emotions when he received the news of
