Worth Events would like to invite you to the official premiere party for "THE TREATMENT" this Friday, May 4th at Mantra 986. Mingle with the cast and crew of Oren Rudavsky's debut fiction feature. The film opens at Lincoln Plaza Cinemas and the Angelika Film Center, and then followed by national release.

The Treatment made its world premiere at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival, where it won the Best Made in New York Narrative Feature Award. The film was also spotlighted at a number of prestigous national and international film festivals, including Hamptons and High Falls Film Festivals, both of which honored Famke Janssen for her work.

Produced by Oren Rudavsky and Jonathan Shoemaker, and starring Chris Eigeman, Famke Janssen, Ian Holm, Harris Yulin, Roger Ress, Stephanie March, Stephen Lang and Blair Brown, The Treatment is a sophisticated romance based on the acclaimed novel by renowned fiction and writer Daniel Menaker, and adapted for the screen by Danile Housman and Oren Rudavsky. The Wall Street Journal called the book "... sexy, funny and wise." The New Yorker serialized the novel and its writer and critic Janet Malcolm wrote: " Daniel Menaker - a true comic artist- keeps us on the edge of our chairs as we follow the fates of his hero and heroine - knowing and not knowing whether things will come out all right for them." The film version captures all the wit and mystery of Jake Singer's epic journey through the realms of psychoanalysis and mature love. Set in contemporary New York City, the film was shot completely on location in the Spring of 2005.
