Formed in South East London way back in 1998, there really isn?t a gig
worth playing that the Top Cats haven?t played at. Led by the infamous Natty
Bo, the finely tuned 9 piece skank, step and bob their way through frantic sets
seen everywhere from Glastonbury, WOMAD, The Rise Festival and the Notting Hill
Carnival.
Natty Bo has also produced and toured worldwide with Ska Cubano
(featuring 5 members of the Top Cats crew). Original skanksters Top Cats, have
been hailed by everyone from John Peel to Jools Holland, Joe Strummer to Duke
Vin for their incredible live show, come witness and be converted.
A Sunday fuelled by ska, reggae and Wray and Nephew overproof rum, with
Cargo?s back yard being transformed for the day into a Caribbean rum shack
complete with palm trees, festoon lighting, a ?lean to? bar serving up the best
cocktails this side of Kingston (Jamaica) and soundtracked by one of the best
ska bands around.
Overproof at Cargo is the best thing to happen to Sunday since
communion wine. Fact.
