Hotly tipped UK new breed of
cultural Rasta talents launch their new album at the Jazz Cafe on Monday
January 21st
Listening
to Rasites for the first time, you're likely to compare their sound to
Morgan Heritage -- indeed, their live-instrument roots and smooth vocals are
rather similar -- but they could also draw favorable comparisons to the
classic vocal groups of the '70s, in particular the Mighty
Diamonds.
Rasites consists of a new breed of
cultural Rasta Youth ready to make their mark on the contemporary reggae
music. They are the new messengers intent upon reclaiming not only the roots
of their music but also their own history.
Their brand of sound, attitude and
talent are making them the UK's most wanted.
Their new album: “Sex, Violence
& Drugs” is out on the 10 January on Ariwa Records.
