I passionately believe that each and every one of us has the RIGHT
to feel good about ourselves. I also know that there are many things that make this all but impossible in the real
world. We feel compelled to prove ourselves to everyone else by what and who we know, our job title, our income,
our possessions - none of which really matters in the long run. What matters is who we ARE, and that should simply
be enough.
How do I know this? I'm an abuse survivor, on multiple occasions. For a long time I felt like I was truly worthless,
and just taking up space that someone else could use much better. It seemed to be something tattooed on my forehead
somewhere, because I kept falling into situations where I was victimised again. A movie once said it best "when
you're so low your chin is dragging on the ground". That was me. Then I finally got angry. I dragged myself
back up, and turned my life around. Now I'm sharing my story to help others who feel the same.
My goal is to get the message out that there is no need to justify being alive. You just are, and that's a beautiful
thing. Nothing more is needed, except that you live true to yourself. Can you imagine a world in which everyone
is secure in themselves, feels free to follow their passions without worrying about the status or money it will
bring, and live life with joy and collaboration instead of struggle and competition. I can, and I'm committed to
do what I can to make it real, one person at a time.

Update
Talking of college students, I finally found a programmer who's PERFECT for what
I want to do with the site. He's getting ready for his graduation, but come May when he's finished, I expect to
take up a fair bit of his time with my plans. The first thing that will be offered is an autoresponder course,
which I've been asked about so many times I rehashed my old stuff and researched what was new to come up with a
brand new version of what used to be on offer. I expect that next week some time. As a bonus, I'm also going to
be throwing in a free e-book, value $47, for anyone who signs up. I'll send a notice as soon as it's live.
Next, and really exciting, I'm about to go live with my "Positive Postcards"
service. The idea of this will be that instead of the usual e-cards available online, where your recipient has
to go someplace and claim it, this will be a postcard, embedded with a personalised message, that gets sent direct to their email, with their name on it. I can't
think of any better way to get a lot of people feeling good about themselves, so I'm really hoping it will take
off. That's going to take a bit of work on my programmer's part, though, so I don't have a release date yet (watch
this space).
Finally, on the home front, I've finally attended my first-ever personal development
seminar! It was a total blast. If you've never heard of Christopher Howard, I highly recommend the man. Thoroughly
professional and incredibly fun! I met so many like-minded people, built a bit of a network for support that extends
way beyond my home town, have been in touch with a few of them since, but most importantly felt so empowered by
the end of the weekend that when a chance came up at work to relieve the manager I went for it. News should come
back on Wednesday - wish me luck?

Generation Y Not!
I went to University (sorry, College for those in other parts) and I remember my final year as a mad chaotic rush
between assignments, classes, career fairs and the occasional (VERY occasional) social visit to family or friends.
Actually, that's only the bits I DO remember. I burnt the midnight oil on not a few occasions, and in short, almost
expected to see my name in a dictionary somewhere - a la Homer Simpson - against the definition of "disorganized
chaos". This was, I must admit, over 7 years ago. And no, I'm not telling you how much over!
Things seem to be so very different now. We've moved on to Generation Y, (I was
a Gen-X-er) and there's another one since which I have no idea about what it's called. Heck, I just have no idea
about it, period. But recently online, I've been seeing more and more of these "college kids" with huge
graduation offers and even more spectacular success stories of what they've achieved while
they were still at college! It used to be, if you thought of the possiblity
of owning your own successful business, it was set somewhere off in the distant future, maybe twenty/thirty years
after graduation, after a long slow haul to 'make it'. All that lead time, though, seems to be being proved unnecessary
by these online gurus who simply go for it. Hence the title of my article - I'm starting to think that "Generation
Y" just doesn't quite describe them right. The mind boggles at what kind of achievements these kids can have
under their belt by the time they reach their thirties, let alone forties and beyond. It's inspiring and challenging
all at once.
Still, it seems like hope's not lost for all of us Gen-X-ers who bought into the
"it takes time" myth. I've been plugging away at my site for over 5 years now, and it seems like it's
finally getting me a name and a bit of an 'insider' lead-in to the other names online. I've been invited to not
one, but TWO pre-release teleseminars this week, and I gotta tell you, one of them blew my mind. It's this kid
that this article is dedicated to.
You see, besides making his way through College (I'll use that,
since he IS in the US), Russell Brunson has both a family and an internet business under his belt. It seems like,
now he's looking down the barrel at finishing, he's pulling out all the stops and looking to celebrate in the BEST
way - by inviting others to celebrate with him. I was privileged to listen in to a teleseminar with him and Mike
Filsaime this week, which is being rebroadcast a couple more times TODAY, then offered for sale at $197, on the
steps you need to take before you
launch any product online. Solid gold information, I can tell you, so I'm rushing this article out to let you know
if you want to listen in yourself before it disappears, so sorry if I've messed up on the spell check! Not only
that, but his 'celebration' is taking the form of a Graduation Sale offering over FOUR GRAND of products for less
than $50 - if you're fast. It's a 7 day job only, and the price goes up each day, so I just had to let you know
FAST. The url you want is http://tinyurl.com/eykk9 and make sure you have popups enabled to get access to the teleseminar broadcast!
But even if you don't visit and check out what this inspiring guy has done while
he was still stuck studying, there's still a powerful lesson there in the beliefs we all buy into, and how they
can hold back an entire generation from achieving their full potential. I know I'm determined to override that
programming in me. How about you?
