My
Spirit Welcomes Your Spirit!
First
I would like to welcome all the new subscribers to my Reboot Your
Life™ ezine! I am so happy that you could join us!
This
month I will finish up the article
on meditation with a
description of mindfulness meditation. I received some great feedback
on my article last month entitled "Procrastination vs.
Walking
Through Doors of Opportunities" I have an update on
it as
well. Both articles can be found in my Heads
Up section.
There is so much for me to to
be thankful for in
this past month. So Check
out My
Blessings! Right
now my book progress is slow. You can check it out
at my
Book Update.
Due to technical difficulties (I am having a
difficult time learning layers, slices and templates) my website is not
up yet. That is an ongoing project of mine and with more
intention it should be up by next month. Time has been a
factor
in learning the things I need in order to get the website
working because of all the consultations I have been doing.
Check out
Receive A Consultation for information on
how to
receive an intuitive consultation from me. Other good news
that I
have to share with you can be found at
My News.
And
as always, my Spirit is sending blessings, love, and prayers to your
Spirit!
Til
next time!
Sue
Do

It looks more and more like surgery will NOT be an
option for me! A Blessing!
More and more doors seem to be opening up for my
book! Blessings!
I would LOVE
to hear how you are being
blessed! Please
send your blessings to me!
Last
month I introduced a food program called "Angel Food
Ministries" that is located all over the USA. For $25.00 you
get between $60 and $70 worth of food. Since we have shared this
information in this newsletter many people have emailed me to let me
know they were able to join it and be blessed as well. It
is worth
checking into at http://www.angelfoodmininstries.com.
A
Blessing!
This
month I would like to share with you a site and book that has changed
my life and the life of my pets. The site is HaloPets.
The
book is called The Whole Pet Diet by Andi Brown. For those
people
who would like to have an alternative from commercial dry and canned
dog food, this is the BEST! They have the recipes on the site
as
well as in the book. If you are not inclined to make the stew
yourself they do sell it on the website. I make this Spot's
Chicken Stew for 3 large dogs: a Chow/Malamute, a German Shephard mix,
and a St. Bernard. I have to make 7 of those recipes a week.
However I feel it is worth all the time and money to have my
beloved pets eat healthy. I would love to have your feedback
on
this site and what they offer. A Blessing!
NOTE:
I do not get any compensation from any of the companies that I am
telling you about. These are organizations that have entered
my
life and have blessed me in one way or another and I want to share them
with you.

human contribution is the essential ingredient. It is only in the
giving of oneself to others that we truly live."

Metaphysical Lingo
Recently I was watching a program on television about Andy Warhol, an extremely famous artist. Not being an artist in the traditional sense, I never really understood the fascination people had for him. What I understood even less was the documentary I was watching about him. After about three words, not three sentences but three words, I was lost. The program was using its own lingo, jargon, and words which fit into that particular culture. They knew what they were talking about. I am sure hundreds of other people knew what they were talking about. I didn't have a clue! I didn't have a clue because I was not a part of that culture. I wasn't on intimate terms with the words, phrases, and meanings that was used in that
culture. It had a world of its own.
Suddenly it hit me! I remembered the blank stares or spaced-out expressions on peoples' faces: people I was talking to about priorities, de-cluttering, letting go, and other words relating to this 'New Age/Metaphysical world' that had hit society. The people who looked at me so blankly, I then realized, had no idea what I was talking about. They were not familiar with the context in which I was using my words. They were not familiar with this culture. I was using metaphysical lingo from a culture foreign to them.
Try talking to a harried mother of three pre-school children about things such as priorities, taking care of herself, and putting herself first. There it is: the blank stare. Try talking to an eighty-something year old person about de-cluttering his/her mind: another blank stare. I was told by one older woman that at her age there was nothing left in her mind to de-clutter. It all left with her memory. So much for metaphysical lingo.
Thinking about an email I received from a friend about taking on too much, getting rid of anything that didn't serve the higher good/self, and getting balanced, I really started listening to the actual words. I would have made a great commercial for the New Age and its vocabulary. As I was thinking about setting priorities, de-cluttering, balancing, talking to the angels, letting go, manifesting and many other things associated with these topics, I realized that unless I was talking to someone with similar background and interests in this New Age/Metaphysical movement, people had no idea what I was saying: thus the blank stares. And, like the Andy Warhol documentary I tuned out because I didn't understand the lingo, some people were tuning me out for the same reason. Its not that they were
disinterested. They just didn't comprehend the meanings behind the words.
I have caught myself saying to a stranger in a store while having a spontaneous conversation that I needed to get grounded. I see the eyes of the person go to my feet. Ahem! That wasn't what I meant. And still until today I hadn't realized they didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about and what I meant. I should have picked up on that fact sooner as I had an experience with my husband, RB, that relates to this very topic.
When a new concept enters our head we have a tendency to over use it or over talk about it. For a while I was this way about the phrase 'putting it out into the Universe.' I was constantly putting this out into the Universe or suggesting to someone else, mainly RB, to put it out into the Universe.
One day after months of putting things into the Universe, while sitting with Doc Z, I turned and asked RB if he understood what I was talking about. He told me he didn't have a clue. Total amazement registered on my face! How could this man who was around me 24/7 not know what I meant? After a while of hearing and not understanding, he had started to not hear me when I started to talk about putting things into the Universe. That brought up other issues that I won't go into now. However, that is what people do when they constantly don't know what you are saying and meaning. They shut you out.
So I explained to RB what that phrase meant to me and how I put things into the Universe. Then one day he came in from the garage all excited! He had put something out into the Universe, and it worked! Now he tells others they need to do it, and he gets blank stares. Only he is smarter than I was. He picks right up on their lack of understanding and educates them right then and there as to what it means and how to do it. They don't get out of his grasp until they understand. I have taken a lesson from him, and I am doing the same thing: educating those with blank stares.
Are there other words or phrases that we can use to express ourselves other than those we have been programmed to use? Are we always going to sound like copycats of our mentors or those people who have expressed themselves before us? Is there a way to get away from the metaphysical lingo that sets six-sensory people apart from other people? Is there some way to keep from sounding like a broken record, even to ourselves? Can we learn to use other words and phrases other than the typical metaphysical lingo to get our points across to others? Or are we so programmed that we become robotic linguists: using words that only have meaning to the chosen ones of the New Age/Metaphysical movement? And, what about this New Age/Metaphysical thing? Its not new. It is just older material and knowledge taken
on by a new generation. The words, phrases, and meanings are the same. We are just using them in old, boring ways.
The next time you are in a conversation and start to use the old cliches, try revamping your sentence and words. Instead of saying the word de-clutter, substitute the words 'making room'. Just don't get stuck on using that phrase all of the time either. Let's make it so it is not metaphysical lingo at all. Let's make it so that our words and their meanings become household words with the same meanings. Let's make our metaphysical lingo interesting, fun and understandable to those people who we are trying to reach. After all, how can we educate others if they can't understand us?

Intuitive
Consultations !
Reboot Your Life!
|
Many
of you are unaware of my path on this Earth plane. This
newsletter is just one road on that path. For several years I
have been doing intuitive consultings and readings. What does
this mean?
I
have been blessed to have my God-given abilities developed in order to
help others. I don't like to put labes on things, but I feel
I need to at this time.
I
am a six-sensory. What that means is that I use and live by
all my senses, not only the five senses most people use. I am
a natural healer believing that I don't heal, but that God through me
heals. I am just an open vessel. I have the full
range of psychic abilities from knowings to seeings.
Using
all these abilities I am available for intuitive consultations and/or
readings. Since my abilities are so advanced I do not require
tarot cards, pendulums, or any other device to be able to help you.
However, I can and do use them on occasion along with other
resources.
My
energy can touch your energy through phone, internet, or personal
contact. I have helped many people in the USA, Canada, as
well as other countries.
If
you would be interested in setting up a consultation with me, or, you
wish more information on what I can do for you, please email me at rebootyourlife@suesunshine.com
.
I
would be blessed to be able to help you Reboot Your Life™ in
what ever area you desire!

My book, "Life Is Like Making Chocolate Chip
Cookies", is one step closer to being published. I have joined
a book marketing group online and have met several informative people
who have helped me immensely in my endeavor to self-publish this book.
The money for the ISBN number is being manifested.
Next month I will tell you who has been endorsing my book!
If you are interested in being on the mailing list
for my book, please send me an email at rebootyourlife@suesunshine.com
with your name, email address, and
state or country you live. I will see that you are
one of the first to get a notice when the book is ready to be
purchased.
And that is my book update for this month.

Meditation - Part 3, Mindfulness Technique
This month I am finishing up the information on
Meditation. As always if you have any further questions,
please feel free to
email me and ask.
Being mindful of what you do is an ongoing task.
By being mindful you can get the most out of each second you
live. It also brings more enjoyment into your life. So how
does one use mindfulness as a meditation technique? I am glad
you asked.
Use your senses: sight, sound, feel,
smell, and taste (and in some instances your intuition) as you do an
activity. For an example I am going to use mowing the yard.
You may have to adapt it to fit your particular lifestyle. I
am going to use a riding lawn mower as most people use them in this day
and age. You can take the experience of preparing to mow to
use as your mindfulness meditation. You can take the actual mowing, or,
you can use the aftermath of the mowing experience. It is up
to you. I
am only going to use a small portion
as an example. I am sure you will find other things in your
own
particular experience.
As you are riding your lawn mower, feel the
vibration on your hands. Focus on the feel of it.
Then focus on the feel of the vibration on your right foot,
then your left foot. How does it feel? What
sensations do you feel? Is it numbing or rejuvenating?
Does it tingle? Feel the vibration on your bottom
where it connects with the seat of the mower. Does it feel
differently than your hands or feet?
Next feel the breeze against your face, your body.
Is it warm? Is it cool? Does it blow your
hair? Is there a breeze?
Smell the air. What do you smell?
Do you smell the new mowed grass? What else are you
smelling?
What are you hearing? What does the motor
of the mower sound like? Is it pleasant to listen to?
Is it monotonous? Do you want to go to sleep?
What do you hear above the motor? Do you hear a
bird? A dog barking? What?
What do you see? Was that a butterfly
that just flew by? What color was it? Did it go
fast or slow? How does the color of the grass change from
area to area?
I could take this so much further! I
believe, however, you got the idea. Mindfulness meditation
puts you in touch with you and your spirit. If you are
outside it puts you in touch with nature as well.
By using the Mindfulness Meditation Technique you
become more mindful of what you are doing on a bigger scale.
You are not as apt to step the wrong way and fall.
You are not as apt to close that door on your finger, or step
on the dog. It heightens all your senses and makes you more
open to the unusual smells, sounds, and sights that may come from loved
ones who have passed over. It opens you up to the world, to
the Universe, to God or your Higher Power whoever it may be.
So no matter what you are doing you can use this
technique to bring you closer to yourself. To help you see
and hear more clearly. Try using this technique at least once
a day on simple things at first and then build up to larger activities.
I would love to hear from you what you experienced
and what you received from your mindfulness meditating.
Please email
me and tell me about your experiences!
I
have put together a meditation audio tape called Meditation for Daily
Living explaining meditation and
a few meditations to use. A companion book on meditation with the same name is also
available. The cost for the set is $12.50 USA currency plus
shipping and handling. If you would like more information,
please email me at rebootyourlife@suesunshine.com.
Procrastination
vs. Walking
Through Doors of Opportunities
This month I walked through the door of
opportunity. I quit procrastinating about the trash.
If I felt the trash needed to be taken out and I was willing
to do it (that is the key here: to be willing to do it), I took it out.
If I felt it needed to be taken out and I didn't want to it,
I asked RB. However, I didn't 'just' ask him. I gave him a
specific reason for needing 'him' to take it out right then.
For instance, I told him the truth which was that I was in
the middle of supper and had to put some more in the trash and it was
too full to do that. So would he please take it out now for
me? I not only justified the why, I appealed to him with
kindness and courtesy.
Did it work? YES! For some unknown reason
... ahem ... he takes it out now in a timely manner without being
asked. I was surprised the first morning it happened.
A completely new bag in the container! The second
morning I was flabbergasted!! It has been two weeks now and I
have no complaints about the trash.
So by me walking through 'my' door of opportunity
something even better opened up!
Guess it is true, you can catch more flies with
honey. Or at the very least get hubby to take out the trash!

"There's
a whole lot of people who are so freaking busy. They're so
cluttered that they're at their wits'end. And if they'd only
just stop for a minute, they could hear the God of the Universe whisper
