Monday is officially "Across The Universe Day!" all over the world - and courtesy of the US space agency NASA - across the universe too!
"Across The Universe" is the first song to ever be beamed into Deep Space - and it happens on the exact 40th anniversary of the Beatles recording the song at Abbey Road.

It’s the 50th anniversary of NASA – and the 50th anniversary of key developments in the evolution of the Beatles. It was in February 1958 that George joined John and Paul in what - two years later - became the Beatles. It was also in 1958 that they made their very first recordings.

Paul and Yoko have given this fabulous celebration their blessing - and sent NASA some lovely words of encouragement.

And Beatles fans worldwide are encouraged to join in by playing the song at the exact same time as it is being beamed into space. Let’s create some Fab harmonic convergence all across the universe!
It all happens this coming Monday (February 4th) at 7:00pm ET/4:00pm PT. (12 midnight in the UK)
And the launch of the Beatles song into space will be carried live on the internet!

All the details - including where to see the launch online – and a world clock telling folks what time it will be happening in other places - are on the official website for Across the Universe Day.
