The LENNON musical closed on Broadway on Saturday, Sept. 24.
Yoko attended the show and they brought her up on stage at the end.
Since it was the last performance, the Broadway audience was acting more like a concert audience, cheering during songs and giving extended cheering and applause at the end of each song.

It was obvious that many people there that last night had seen the show before and wanted to show their support for the superb cast and excellent show undeserved of all the negative criticism it received.

Hamburg looks to honor the Beatles

HAMBURG, Germany, Sept. 29 (UPI) --

A radio station in Hamburg, Germany, is raising funds for a statue honoring the time the Beatles spent in the city in the early 1960s.

Planning is under way to construct statues of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, Ringo Starr and Stuart Sutcliffe standing on a giant black record, the BBC reports. The statues will be cast in bullet-proof glass that will be illuminated at night.

The project will stand on the the Reeperbahn in Hamburg's St. Pauli district near the Kaiserkeller nightclub, which is considered to be the birthplace of the Beatles.

Organizers said they aim to start construction in March with an unveiling to coincide with the World Cup in Germany next year.
