September Luncheon Reservation Deadline is Friday, September 14!

Menu includes BBQ turkey or brisket, salad, and roll.
Cost of luncheon $12 and reservations are required. You can place reservations by calling Sandy Ruhlen 250-6755, or emailing reservations@flsc.biz.

Of course you do!  FLSC wants them for our 2007-2008 Sunflavors Cookbook, and if you submit your recipes via email prior to the luncheon you will receive an opportunity ticket for each recipe submitted.  Recipes submitted on the day of the luncheon will receive one opportunity ticket.  Please submit recipes to recipes@flsc.biz.  Guidelines and suggestions are posted on the webpage at http://www.flsc.biz/cookbook.htm.   In order to have the cookbooks printed in time for the holiday season, submission for deadline is September 19.

Save the date!   The annual FLSC Welcome Tea is scheduled for October 16.  Graciously hosted by Mrs. Caldwell at Quarters 1, invitations with complete details will be published in the Sunflower and distributed via email as well.  We will also welcome Mrs. Abrams to Ft. Leavenworth.  We hope to see you there!

Calling all Santas!  That's right - Santa!  We are currently seeking volunteers to "be" Santa during our upcoming Holiday Bazaar.  A Santa suit is provided, and whatever time volunteers have to give would be wonderful - a few hours would be great!  Children at the bazaar look forward to meeting and taking pictures with our roving Santa, so please check with your hubby and contact Nicole at volunteer@flsc.biz if interested.  We are also seeking Santa's Helpers...usually teens who rove with Santa and pass out candy canes.  If you've got a teen at home who'd like to make the children happy, please have them contact Nicole.  Groups of friends are welcome!
