Join us for this members-only luncheon.  Not a member yet?  You can join now by mail, membership application is available on our website at http://www.flsc.biz/Membership.htm or you can join the day of the luncheon.
Cost of luncheon $12 and reservations are required. Please place your reservation before noon on October 5 by calling Sandy Ruhlen 250-6755, or emailing reservations@flsc.biz.  Don't forget to indicate your choice of sandwich from Panera Bread Company (chicken salad sandwich or mediterranean veggie).

Save the date!   The annual FLSC Welcome Tea is scheduled for October 16.  Graciously hosted by Mrs. Caldwell at Quarters 1, invitations with complete details will be published in the Sunflower and distributed via email as well.  We will also welcome Mrs. Abrams to Ft. Leavenworth.  We hope to see you there!

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (MTBI) Information for Family Members CPT Julie Schwarz from Gentry Clinic will be presenting a class on PTSD and MTBI for family members on September 27, 6 pm at the FCC. 

Recipes needed...  for our 2007-2008 Sunflavors Cookbook, a wonderful keepsake from your time at Ft. Leavenworth.  Please submit recipes to recipes@flsc.biz.  Guidelines and suggestions are posted on the webpage at http://www.flsc.biz/cookbook.htm.   We have extended the submission deadline to the end of this month in order to get more recipes, so hurry and send them in!

Holiday Bazaar Info...                                                                                                                                                          Are you looking forward to the FLSC Fall Bazaar? So are we!  This year bazaar volunteers will have an hour of early bird shopping before we open to the public.  So if you'd like to get in early, be sure to sign up to volunteer!  Even if it's just one two-hour shift, we need lots of hands to make this bazaar successful.  Email volunteer@flsc.biz today with your date and time preference!  The Fall Bazaar will be November 3 (9am to 5 pm) and November 4 (11 am to 4 pm).  Thank you for your support!

Calling all Santas!  That's right - Santa!  We are currently seeking volunteers to "be" Santa during our upcoming Holiday Bazaar.  A Santa suit is provided, and whatever time volunteers have to give would be wonderful - a few hours would be great!  Please contact Nicole at volunteer@flsc.biz for more information.
