November Luncheon Deadline Friday, December 7 at Noon!
Join us for the "Gingerbread Challenge" on Thursday, December 13th at 11:00 am at the Frontier Conference Center. Enjoy a holiday dinner (that you don't have to cook!) of ham, roast beef,mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, rolls, and chocolate cake. Cost of luncheon $12 and reservations are required.  For luncheon reservations, please contact Sandy Ruhlen at reservations@flsc.biz or by calling 250-6755. Childcare reservations can be made directly through the CDC, be sure to ask for on-site luncheon child care.

Wreaths Across America                                                                                                                                                        The  Wreaths Across America ceremony will be conducted this year at the Leavenworth National Cemetery in Lansing on December 15, 2007 stating at 11:00 AM CST.  Seven ceremonial wreaths will be placed to remember those who gave their lives in service for our country. Specially made wreaths for Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines and POW/MIA will be placed on memorials during the ceremony.  The ceremony will be conducted  by Civil Air Patrol New Century Composite Squadron and several of the wreaths will be placed by members of the Ft. Leavenworth community.  The 11:00 start time will coincide with the wreath laying at Arlington National Cemetery on the same day.  All of these specially made wreaths are donated by Worcester Wreath Company in Harrington, Maine and December 15th  will mark the 16^th anniversary of Maine wreaths being donated to decorate the graves at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA, and the second year of a national campaign dubbed Wreaths Across America that will bring the same remembrance wreaths to over 230 National and State Veterans cemeteries and monuments across the nation.  If you would like more information, please contact Heidi Fornili at 913/250-6742 or visit the Wreaths Across America web site at www.wreathsacrossamerica.org
