Due to Murphy’s Law….again!!!...... this newsletter
will be short and sweet.

My mother is back in hospital. While on my way there,
I hit the side of a concrete island hidden under a mound
of ice and snow and blew a tire. Yup….Murphy’s still
hanging around. Now, the “donut” may be a great space
saver, but it feels like I’m driving around with a
“Timbits” rather than a spare. Until next week…..

The FDA warned of the increasing numbers of the
fungal infections in those who wear contact lenses.

Fungal keratitis is a serious eye infection that can
develop through the whole depth of the cornea.
Symptoms include eye pain, eye discomfort, decrease

Today’s Recipes

Dark Chocolate Mousse (By An Occasional Chocolate)

3 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate baking chips
2 cups of heavy cream
3/4 cup sugar

Melt the baking chips in the microwave in 15 second
intervals until melted, stir until smooth.

Put the chocolate into a metal bowl.

Place the heavy cream and the sugar into a chilled bowl
and beat together until it forms soft peaks, about 4 minutes.

Add the cream mixture to the chocolate about one cup at a
time, mixing thoroughly. Refrigerate to 3 hours. Top with
liced almonds.

Oh…To be six again

A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, observing his
wife turning back and forth, looking at herself in the
mirror. Since her birthday was not far off, he asked
what she'd like to have for her Birthday. "I'd like to be
six again", she replied, still looking in the mirror.

On the morning of her Birthday, he arose early, made
her a nice big bowl of Lucky Charms, and then took
her to Six Flags theme park. What a day! He put her
on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Wall of
Fear, the Screaming Monster Roller Coaster...
everything there was. Five hours Later they staggered
out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her
stomach felt upside down.

He then took her to a McDonald's where he ordered
her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate
shake.

Then it was off to a movie, popcorn, a soda pop,
and her favourite candy, M&M's. What a fabulous
adventure !

Finally she wobbled home with her husband and
collapsed into bed exhausted.

He leaned over his wife with a big smile and lovingly
asked, Well Dear, what was it like being six again??

Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly
changed. I meant my dress size, you goofball!

The moral of the story:

Even when a man is listening, he is going to get it
wrong.
