Good morning everyone welcome to Mocha Monday’s edition at Cappuccino’s Caf?, and a

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. As usual, mine was a little hectic running around like
a frantic rabbit. Murphy’s Law: if anything can go wrong, it will. Went to the mall on Friday
to do some shopping and forgot that all stores were closed (duh, it’s Easter weekend). So, of
course, everything was last minute on Saturday. One of these days I’ll wise up.

RECIPE OF THE DAY

Hawaiian Teriyaki Wings

2 pounds chicken wings, cut at joint with tips removed
1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix
1 can crushed pineapple
(8 oz.), drained with ? cup juice reserved
1/4cup sherry or rice wine
2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
2 green onions, chopped, using some of the green parts

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Line a broiler pan or baking dish with aluminum foil. Arrange
the chicken wings the pan and bake for 45 minutes or until wings are thoroughly cooked and crisp.

Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine onion soup, reserved pineapple juice, sherry, sugar and
soy sauce. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. In a large bowl, toss cooked wings with the hot sauce mixture until evenly coated. Return wings with sauce to the broiler pan, top with pineapple and bake for an additional 10 min., turning wings once, if desired.

Arrange wings on platter and spoon extra sauce and pineapple over the top. Garnish with
sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve hot, cold or at room temperature.

Variation: This marinade also works well with pork, and can be used for slabs of baby back
ribs, or as a marinade for pork tenderloins. Marinate pork tenderloins for 2 hours, and then bake at 375 for 30 minutes.

A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus. She noticed the man opposite her was smiling
at her. She immediately moved to another seat. This time the smile turned into a grin, so she
