Kiki couldn’t make it today. Her computer is under the weather and
will, hopefully, recuperate soon. So, you are stuck with me again.
It’s a short one this week as I’m babysitting my two great-
grandchildren. Kiki’s daughter (my granddaughter) had yet another
bouncing baby boy on Wednesday. We requested a girl but we got the
order in too late. Congratulations on your third boy Amanda.

RECIPE OF THE DAY
Margarita Pie
Ingredients
1 1/4 cups finely crushed pretzels
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 (14-ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk
(NOT evaporated milk)
1/3 cup lime juice
2 tablespoons tequila
2 tablespoons triple sec
1 1/2 cups whipping cream, whipped
Additional whipped cream, orange twists and mint leaves or pretzels
for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Combine crushed pretzels, sugar and butter; press firmly on bottom
and up side to rim of lightly buttered 9-inch pie plate.
In large bowl, combine EAGLE BRAND, lime juice, tequila and triple
sec; mix well. Fold in whipped cream. Spoon mixture into prepared pie
crust.
Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours or freeze 4 hours or until firm. Garnish
as desired. Store leftovers in refrigerator or freeze
Notes: Strawberry Margarita Pie: Reduce lime juice to 1/4 cup.
Add 1 1/2 cups chopped fresh or frozen strawberries, thawed and well
drained and red food coloring (optional). Proceed as above.

DAILY FUNNIES – Thank you Judy B.
A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight
around, looking for valuables, and when he picked up a CD player to
place in his sack, a strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark
saying, “Jesus is watching you.” He nearly jumped out of his skin,
clicked his flashlight out, and froze.
When he heard nothing after a bit, he shook his head, promised himself
a vacation after the next big score, then clicked the light on and
began searching for more valuables. Just as he pulled the stereo out
so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard, “Jesus is
watching you.”
Freaked out, he shone his light around frantically, looking for the
source of the voice. Finally, in the corner of the room, his
flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.
“Did you say that?” He hissed at the parrot.
“Yep,” the parrot confessed, then squawked, “I’m just trying to warn
you.”
The burglar relaxed, “Warn me, huh? Who in the world are you?”
“Moses,” replied the bird.
“Moses?” the burglar laughed.
“What kind of people would name a bird Moses?”
“The same people who would name a rottweiler, Jesus.”
