**** This newsletter is not spam. It is sent by request only ****

Good morning!!!! Welcome to Mocha Monday’s edition at Cappuccino’s
Caf?, and a very warm welcome to new subscribers.

I hope all you mothers were pampered and spoiled over the weekend.
For those who have to work this morning, here is a little something
for you to brighten your day http://tinyurl.com/km24a.

I took a little time off also to relax this weekend (I am a mother
too) so there aren’t too many freebies for you today. Don’t pout
though, there’s more coming on Friday.

I actually got out of the house yesterday, visited with friends at
the park and thoroughly enjoyed looking at the greenery around me.
Happiness is a fine Spring day. Now if only the rain would stop.
If you haven’t seen our new website yet, please do so by clicking on
this link http://cappuccinos.canadian.freebies.googlepages.com. It’s
so much more appealing than the newsletter.

NOTE: When signing up for freebies, just say a friend referred you.

All links are valid at time of posting but please don’t hold me
responsible for those that are gone by the time you view them.

NEW: For our southern friends, I have added a US freebies page and
may be viewed on the website.

May your hearts be happy, your mailboxes full, and the mailman forever
busy. HAPPY HUNTING!!!

Recipe of the Day

French Chocolate Hazelnut Cake

A light and creamy glaze adorns this luscious cake. Ground nuts
replace quite a bit of the flour in this sinful confection.

Ingredients:

2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate morsels,
divided
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs, separated
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup hazelnut liqueur or milk
2/3 cup ground toasted hazelnuts or almonds
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1 tablespoon water

Directions:

PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease and flour 9-inch springform pan.

MICROWAVE 1 cup morsels in medium, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on
HIGH for 1 minute; STIR. If necessary, microwave at additional 10-15
second intervals, stirring just until smooth. Cool to room
temperature.

BEAT sugar, butter, vanilla extract and salt in large mixer bowl
until creamy. Beat in melted chocolate and egg yolks. Add flour and
liqueur; beat until smooth. Stir in hazelnuts. Beat egg whites in
small mixer bowl until soft peaks form. Gradually add 2 tablespoons
sugar; beat until stiff peaks form. Fold into chocolate batter.
Spread into prepared springform pan.

BAKE for 35 to 40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center
comes out still slightly moist. Cool in pan for 15 minutes. Loosen
and remove side of pan. Invert onto wire rack to cool completely.

HEAT butter, corn syrup and water in small, heavy-duty saucepan over
low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture just comes to a boil.
Remove from heat. Add remaining morsels; stir until smooth. Cool to
room temperature.

POUR 3 tablespoons Glaze into small, heavy-duty plastic bag. Pour
remaining Glaze over cake; spread over top and sides. Allow to set
for a few minutes. Cut tiny corner from bag; pipe reserved Glaze
over cake.

Daily Funnies

The snotty Doctor’s receptionist

There's nothing worse than a snotty doctor's receptionist who insists
you tell her what is wrong in a room full of other patients.

I know most of us have experienced this. You got to love the way this
old guy handled it.

An 86 year old man walked into a crowded doctor's office. As he
approached the desk, the receptionist said:

"Yes sir, what are you seeing the doctor for today?"

"There's something wrong with my dick," he replied.

The receptionist became irritated and said, "You shouldn't come
into a crowded office and say things like that."

"Why not? You asked me what was wrong and I told you," he said.

The receptionist replied, "You've obviously caused some embarrassment
in this room full of people. You should have said there is something
wrong with your ear or something and then discussed the problem
further with the doctor in private."

The man replied, "You shouldn't ask people things in a room full of
others if the answer could embarrass anyone."

The man walked out, waited several minutes and then re-entered.

The receptionist smiled smugly and asked, "Yes?"

"There's something wrong with my ear," he stated.

The receptionist nodded approvingly and smiled, knowing he had taken
her advice.

"And what is wrong with your ear, Sir?"

"I can't piss out of it," the man replied.

The doctor's office erupted in laughter.
