Hey everybody, Whacky Kiki here for her rendition of Frothy Friday at Cappuccino’s Caf?. I have to apologize in advance for today’s newsletter. This is my first attempt in posting it myself without the help of Cappuccino. Since she is on a sabbatical, I have been left with the task of writing, editing, posting and hoping that there won’t be any mistakes. For this reason alone, is why the newsletter is late today. I know I am going to end up adding these mistakes to my long list of blunders and bloopers and as you all know, I have many.

So I don’t know how it will turn out, but I’m sure it will probably be an interesting read of gurgles and garbles. So without further adieu, get your java’s and your spirit and let’s get to it. I hope everyone has a happy and joyous weekend.

May your hearts be happy, your mailboxes full and the mailman forever busy.
Until next time,
Happy Hunting!!!

Whacky Kiki

Mail Bag

I've just read your June 9th issue including the joke about our health care system. This is not a criticism at all, just to point out how true the joke is.

My father, a senior citizen, recently passed away waiting for bypass surgery. I live in a large city, Windsor Ontario, population of over 200,000 and we do not have heart surgery at all in this city. He had been to London 9 days before his death for pre-op tests and was told to be ready 'any day' for a call, to be packed and ready to come to London immediately, as the surgery would be performed the day after the call. Well 9 days later, he suffered a heart attack and because of our lack of health services here, died.

The hospital staff here were wonderful, trying for over an hour to re-start his heart so that they could send him immediately to DETROIT for the surgery he needed. Despite their tireless efforts, he passed away anyway.

Like I said I'm not critizing your joke, rather I think it highlights the embarrassment our medical system has become.

W. Maroon

(Our condolences on your father’s passing. Our system has truly failed him.
Something to think about come next election.)
