Canadian freebies on the web

US freebie on the web

Welcome everyone to Frothy Friday at Cappuccino’s Freebie Caf?.

Give it up and raise the roof ‘cause Whacky Kiki’s in the house!! (Rah Rah Sis
Boom Bah). I want to take this opportunity to wish Happy Canada Day to
everyone out there in and hope that everyone will be playing safe before, during
and after, any and all, celebrations.

This means, no alcohol while boating or driving, designated drivers and designated
crash houses if you can’t make it home safely or can’t afford the cab fare home.

This should be planned ahead not only for your own safety but for those around you.
Also, for friends and/or family members of those who, for any reason, don’t have
back-up plans, please find it in your hearts to either drive them home or give up a
bed or couch until morning. Believe me, they will appreciate it.

How was everybody’s weekend? Mine was great except for the little bit of rain we
got on Sunday. Hung out my towels and the rest of my laundry and was wondering
why everyone was staring at me with puzzled looks. Even my dog was looking at me
funny. I figured that even with the clouds as dark as they were, it wouldn’t rain for a
while. Boy was I wrong. It rained about 20 minutes after I put the clothes on the line.
So there I was, back outside, taking the clothes off the line only to have it stop raining
5 minutes after I took them down. Back outside I went to put them up again and
take them down and put them back up and take them down. This went on for a
couple of hours until finally they dried enough that I could fold them and put them
away. The neighbours must have had a field day with laughter over my blunders,
but I was determined to dry them the old fashioned way LOL. Worst of all, I swear
my dog was laughing at me.

Anyhow, I hope it doesn’t rain this weekend. My daughter and her husband are
coming up with my grandchildren to visit with me for a month and we’ll be
spending it mostly at camp. To me it doesn’t matter because rain or no rain, when
I see the faces of those three little sunshines, they brighten up any of my dark and
gloomy days. Those who have grandchildren of their own will agree with me, with
an exceptional few lol.

Anyway, lets get down to the nitty gritty of why we are all gathered here today,
and no it’s not for a wedding, but for the freebies….yay!!! Gave a great weekend
everyone.

May your hearts be happy, your mailboxes full and the mailman forever busy. Until
next time, Happy Hunting Everyone!!!!

Whacky Kiki

Warnings & Recalls

June 22, 2006 – distribution of Lava Lamps stopped

The Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) Warns Jump Rope For Heart Lava Lamps Are a
Potential Fire Hazard.

The Lava Lamps were a thank-you prize offered to students who reached Level 4 in
the Jump Rope for Heart program. There is the possibility that the liquid in the Lava
Lamps can leak out of the top part of the lamp. If the lamp is plugged into the wall and
turned on, this can cause sparks and a potential fire hazard. Not every Lava Lamp will
leak or cause sparks, but it’s difficult to determine which ones will, so we are taking the
safest course of action and have stopped distribution of the Lava Lamps.

Daily Funnies - THE LUCKY JOKE

An elderly woman walked into the Bank of Canada one morning with a
purse full of money. She wanted to open a savings account and
insisted on talking to the president of the Bank because, she said, she
had a lot of money.

After many lengthy discussions (after all, the client is always right) an
employee took the elderly woman to the president's office.

The president of the Bank asked her how much she wanted to deposit.

She placed her purse on his desk and replied, "$165,000". The

president was curious and asked her how she had been able to save so
much money. The elderly woman replied that she made bets.

The president was surprised and asked, "What kind of bets?"

The elderly woman replied, "Well, I bet you $25,000 that your testicles are square."

The president started to laugh and told the woman that it was impossible
to win a bet like that.

The woman never batted an eye. She just looked at the president and said,
"Would you like to take my bet?"

"Certainly", replied the president.

"I bet you $25,000 that my testicles are not square."

"Done", the elderly woman answered. "But given the amount of money
involved, if you don't mind I would like to come back at 10 o'clock
tomorrow morning with my lawyer as a witness."

"No problem", said the president of the Bank confidently.

That night, the president became very nervous about the bet and spent a
long time in front of the mirror examining his testicles, turning them this
way and that, checking them over again and again until he was positive
that no one could consider his testicles as square and reassuring himself
that there was no way he could lose the bet.

The next morning at exactly 10 o'clock the elderly woman arrived at the
president's office with her lawyer and acknowledged the $25,000 bet made
the day before that the president's testicles were square.

The president confirmed that the bet was the same as the one made the day
before.

Then the elderly woman asked him to drop his pants etc. so that she and her
lawyer could see clearly.

The president was happy to oblige.

The elderly woman came closer so she could see better and asked the
president if she could touch them.

"Of course", said the president. "Given the amount of money involved, you
should be 100% sure."

The elderly woman did so with a little smile.

Suddenly the president noticed that the lawyer was banging his head against
the wall. He asked the elderly woman why he was doing?

She replied, "Oh, it's probably because I bet him $100,000 that around 10 o'clock
in the morning I would be holding the balls of the President of the Bank of Canada!"
