Hi gang !?  Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.?  Mine was was pretty good. Ate a lot of good food and saw family I hadn't seen for a while.?  Loved seeing Tami open her gifts and the best part was watching the pets open theirs.?  LOL?  I was a bit sick for New Years so I stayed home and would you believe I couldn't find one good movie to watch??  Tom and Tami went across the street to our friends house and played air hockey most of the night...lol? 

This was Tami's last week off from school so her and I went shopping everyday this week except today . I am so tired from shopping ! I still have some pants of hers to hem up for her. She's so tiny and everything is so big on her. I swear I stood waiting for her for at least 30 minutes at two stores just trying on pants. I was one grouchy mamma! After we were done we went to Baker's Square for lunch. Yesterday Tami and I set off to go to Old Navy? and ? guess what??  They got rid of our Old Navy by us. GRRR!?  The other one was a bit of a drive so we decided to sit in the parking lot at the AMC movie?  theater..LOL?  We waited a 1/2 hour to go see the Harry Potter movie. We saw it before and it was really good. I think I liked it better the second time. Guess? I was having brain farts the first time I saw it.?  LOL ? I walked out asking Tami so? many ? questions the first time...LOL?  Now I understand the movie better.

I have a friend of mine coming to visit me Jan. 17th from North Carolina. I'm so excited!!!!?  We met online a yr ago and we talk on the phone all the time. I just can't wait to meet her in person. See you can make friends on the web. I still have friends I know here and tell them of all the web friends I have and they always look at me like I'm nuts.?  Well I know I'm nuts but there is nothing wrong with having friends on the web. I think I can say that if I was to go to about any state I would have a web friend to see. Ain't that a cool thing? So to all me web friends big hugs to ya!

Seems I'm still having troubles with my cable line. I called them out on Dec. 20th and they put a new line from the house to the pole. The tv was still fuzzy and the dang phone base keeps beeping at us off and on. My call waiting still cuts the first person off.....Rolling eyes here.? ?  So last night I got fed up with it again and called to see if there was a outage. Well I got a real?  live person at 10:30 pm my time. I was shocked! So this nice guy Mike had me on the phone for 30 minutes going over all the past calls I had made and was checking notes of what I said was the trouble. Well, as? I started this letter my tv started going out so I knew the workers were in the area working on it. Then Mike called me back just now? to say they were on it. He was the nicest person to talk to and get this!?  Ya ready?? ?  He knocked $10.00 off my bill every month for the next year. I was paying $94.00 now I pay $84.00.?  He is the first person to offer us anything for all the? trouble we have been through so I took it!?  LOL?  It should have been for more but it was late and he was about to go home and like I said nobody made us any offers before. So I took it and ran.?  LOL? ?  I sure hope they can? fix this mess real soon. If not we will have to look for another company. This one is a great price for tv, phone and pc. The phone?  service is unlimited local and out of state calls. Please please please let them fix it. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

5 Layer Taco Dip

16 oz Sour cream
2 tb Taco seasoning mix
2 sm Ripe avocados
1 tb Lemon juice
1/2 c Mayonnaise
1 6 oz. can black olives, chopped
1 c Tomatoes, chopped and well drained
2 Bunches green onions, chopped
1 9 oz. can no-lard bean dip
8 oz Sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 Tortilla chips


Combine sour cream and taco seasoning. Refrigerate several hours. In
separate bowl, mash avocados and blend with lemon juice and
mayonnaise. In another bowl, combine olives, tomatoes and onion. In
glass bowl or baking dish, layer ingredients as follows: bean dip,
avocado mixture, sour cream, olive/tomato mixture, cheese. Serve with
tortilla chips.

Have your kids out grown their slippers with those big? character heads on them? Well, if it's a pair your kid really loved?  you can snip the threads off around the head base and take ? off the slipper. Then sew up the hole on the bottom of the? character head. Then take your glue gun and glue a ribbon or string loop on the top and let dry. Now your kid can hang their favorite character head in their room.
