On Friday July 4th (Independence day) the legend that is Twilo makes its debut appearance at Pacha London, with a distinct US House music feel combined with Balaeric , Latino House and the most upfront European Electronic music.
Twilo was the most beloved and, its critics say, most played-out nightclub to grace the streets of New York City since the seminal Studio 54. Playing host to dozens of legendary DJs from around the world, the club was instrumental in popularizing international styles of house and trance music within the United States.
Twilo regularly featured prominent American and European DJs playing trance, techno, and house music. Sasha and John Digweed had a monthly residency at the club, playing the last Friday of every month. Early in 2001 after Sasha suffered an ear injury in a car accident and was unable to dj, John Digweed would play the entire 8 hour time slot by himself. Other DJs would play frequently such as Paul van Dyk, Carl Cox, Robert Fauver, Richie Hawtin aka (Plastikman), Danny Tenaglia, Merritt, Jeff Mills, DJ Dan, and Sven V?th. Many of these artists made appearances at Twilo before hitting the mainstream.
Now, for the first time in the Big Smoke, Twilo comes to London and encapsulates New York's truely cosmopolitan feel with a distinct attitude and vibe of polysexual hedonism. Special New York and London DJs have been carefully chosen to represent the opening night and ambassador this ultimate party and London's ultimate glamorous venue, with a special surprise guest that will only be revealed on the night .
Twilo proudly introduces Luckylife and ClubhankyPanky to debut at Pacha London. Luckylife co-host the main room and we are proud to have them on board as they deliver a smooth blend through the realms of house and electronic house. Upstairs in the global room Clubhankypanky deliver the best in house across the board.
