ESOTERIC QUOTE of the Week ================================================== "No matter what it is, if you really want it, and if you get out of the way of it, it will happen. It must be. It is Law. It can be no other way. It's the way this Universe is established. If you want it and you relax, it will happen." -- Abraham-Hicks (www.abraham-hicks.com) 2. RELAXATION versus Responsible ================================================== Do you ever listen to the message being preached by the masses of motivational speakers out there? The overwhelming message is that you are responsible for your own destiny. You have to "make it happen." You are powerful and you can do it. And the message is right … and wrong. The message is on target because you ARE powerful. You can create literally anything you want in your reality. But where the message gets a little wonky is where it tells you that you can "do" it. In fact, the message really tells you that you are responsible for making your reality happen. The focus on doing might make you think that you have to always be in action to create what you want. And, should you get burned out on doing and need to take some time off, then maybe you stop doing for a while. But do you rest? No! Since you're too tired to do, what else is there? Worry! Starting to sound familiar? It should. The majority of the world goes around doing, doing, doing … and in the off hours-worry, worry, worry. Why? Because then we feel we are responsible. We've done our duty. We deserve a good and happy reality. The equation tells us that the more we do and worry, the better our lives will become. Just one question: How's that working out for us? Usually, not too good. Law of Attraction tells us that like attracts like. So worry and doing may move us forward in the world, but they also attract more worry and more doing. Ughh! Don't sign me up for that. In the quote above Abraham-Hicks tells us that if we just relax (also called "getting out of the way of the Universe") we'll not only attract what we want but we'll skip all the heavy lifting as well. So if you feel the need to be responsible in your life, how about taking responsibility for a little R&R: rest and relaxation. The best news is that the old grindstone will still be there whenever you might feel the urge to put your nose to it! 3.
