The purpose of this essay is to provide all readers of any age with an explanation of how and when God created everything. The purpose is to explain how nothing just happened and even how so-called science and God's creation can be connected.

Introduction:

When a young, child I became very interested in all the sciences as a hobby. I had my first chemistry set when seven. It was a small Chemcraft, some parts of which I still have. From eight years on I became interested in microscopes, telescopes, books by Bertha Morris Parker, my favorite science writer for kids, paleontology and fossils, geology, et cetera. Every Sunday my dad took me to visit the Buffalo Museum of Science, and I would drop off collected rocks for identification. I never worried about being a Christian and loving science. (In high school I had 100 in biology and chemistry.)

I had one major concern. Since I hated school (and did very well with very little school), I hated the passing of vacation and good family times. I reasoned and questioned, "Where had they gone?" After all, they had been real! How can real become not real? I prayed very hard that God would explain time to me. He did.

Time and Creation:

Early in the Bible, God introduces Himself as I AM. Jesus Christ adds to this when He states, "Before Abraham WAS, I AM". In the beginning, we are told: "God created heaven and earth". The word "created" comes from Hebrew, bara, and means from NOTHING, not from an explosion (of what? A "bang"?) For decades scientists struggled to find the smallest particle of something, until the great intellectual work of Schwartz and Green called "Superstrings." Everything is made of minute "strings" one ten-trillionth of a centimeter long and vibrating at varying frequencies (the number of vibrations within a certain time). Other scientists called this beautiful math and beautiful physics. (I thought of poet Keats': "beauty is truth, truth beauty; that is all ye know on earth and all ye need to know" and refers to a joyful moment of time captured on a Greecian urn.)

By combining the timelessness of God, the Urn, and the Strings, I had my time solution. Because of our finite, limited humanity we cannot be an I AM in this life. We need a crutch as an anchor; we call it time. However, a huge mistake awaits our pride. We assume that everything is moving along a straight line and call it "linear (a line) sequential (from Latin "follow"). Then we add the idea of cause. Whatever is on one side of the line CAUSES whatever exists later! Out of our pride, we ignore that God is I AM. Out of the FAITH of atheism, we decide on the causes for everything. That's right, out of faith. Out of our pride. Based on the theory of Uniformitariansim, scientists, who have no labs set up back in time, just state that however long a process needs in a laboratory NOW, it needed that time 100 million years ago. Therefore, although we see change in things, we admit no change in process. Then Darwin states that all life has EVOLVED and the fittest have survived. Scientists conveniently ignore a law of physics: the Second Law of Thermodynamics, Entropy, which states that everything is in a state of DECLINE! Oh, well.

LET’S MEET (unlikely, since man wants to become God)!

I read that Superstrings scientists now expect at least two years to discover what causes the vibration of the "strings!" (Since there is no "luck", I will wish them that in their search. And Christians are the ones who are thought to have blind faith!)

Christians know, just perhaps not in these words. The patterns, which shape the "strings" and the universe, cosmos, are the THOUGHTS of the Great I AM. He forms thoughts of ALL and via the Logos, the Word, speaks them into existence with "words": "Let there be!" His thoughts are the bases of the "strings". (As so well expressed in the first "Matrix" motion picture by many scenes, including the little girl bending the spoon with her mind. Even by literature, such as Thornton Wilder's "Our Town", which gives the play's final location as "the mind of God".)

Basically, this is what I wrote at Houghton College in my freshman literature class. (I think that I still have the paper.) The creation poem, "In the Beginning", started this and all my essays on creation.

Tragic that so-called scientists deny the truth out of something so base, their pride!

But we do have an opportunity here, to which I will return.

A BRIEF ASIDE TO CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTS (by the way, science is from Latin scio, I know, from the present participle, sciens, scientis, knowing):

Straight from the news: "Secular scientists have taken aim at the National Park Service for a book advocating creation science available at Grand Canyon bookstores.

The volume in question, "Grand Canyon: A Different View" compiled by scientist Tom Vail, describes the canyon's formation as part of the worldwide flood recounted in Genesis. The book also describes the earth as much younger than the usual estimates of secular scientists." (GOOGLE)

The search engine fails to mention what news media did include in this story. Several "secular" scientists SUPPORT writer Vail's book! Vail explained on television how he had studied rock formations and composition! However, we can see here clearly how "secular scientists" declare how long a process needs to occur (faith?).

RETURN TO SUGGESTED SOLUTION

God does not "exist" only IN TIME, but also in an unexpanded dimension called ETERNITY. The physical universe has been known to be a sphere. A display at the Toronto, Canada, Science Center, demonstrates that the actual shortest distance in time between two points is a curve, not a straight line. If we could start at one point and travel beyond light speed (yes, Einstein made a mistake here), eventually we would return to the same point!

PRIDE AND TRUTH

The proving of all reason is always a single premise accepted by a type of "faith"! "Big bang" is accepted, not proved. It is wanted!!! All goes back to choice. Descartes missed out. His thinking does not start until he has CHOSEN! His choice can be based only on unproven FAITH; thus, should not be "Cogito, ergo sum", (I think, therefore I am.) but rather "Credo, ergo cogito, ergo sum" (I believe, therefore, I think, therefore I am.)

God states that the fool has said in his heart that there is no God. The faith of "secular" scientists is still faith - and foolish.

I believe that the Mind of God is the basis of superstrings. That the expression of these "strings" is via the Word, Jesus Christ, the Logos. God creates all in His Words, "Let there be." There only "is" but not visible to us, except for a tiny portion. We are on Shakespeare's stage of life. When we leave it for God's timeless Kingdom, we will see all and know all.

And all will be THERE.

I believe that God is the Great Writer of the Great Drama of the Ages!
