Fondly do I remember being wakened early to prepare for
Sunday School and worship service to the smell of a country
breakfast. Thanking our Maker for the food that had been
prepared for us was first on the agenda. We did not doodle?
over our food as the hour seemed to fleet away before it was
time to leave for church.
There seemed to be a hush over
our home as we realized that we had come face to face with
another blessed Lord's day! I come from a large family so
much pre-organization was necessary to prepare for the time
spent in His teachings. We all had laid out our Sunday best
for this special day of the week.?
The warm fellowship of other
believers would warm our hearts as we greeted each one with
an embrace. Sunday school was where we learned to live in
the ways of Christ.?
Worship service was the
highlight of the week when we were blessed with the choir's
tribute to our God with their angelic voices touching our
hearts. Our pastor guided us in our daily walk with Jesus by
expounding on the scriptures that he had prepared with the
Lord's guidance. We are so blessed to live in a country
where we can worship without the interference of our
Government. Thank you, God, for all you have done for us,
for now and eternally.
Amen!
"Enter into his gates with
thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful
unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his
mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all
generations." Psalm 100:4-5 (KJV)
